Mm.

9 July 2018
It is with regret that we find ourselves in this position, but it is important that we stress we are fully supporting Russ through this difficult time.

Russ is currently appealing the decision.

However, with the start of the season just over a month away, we must act quickly to put things in motion to ensure Russ’ role and responsibilities are covered for the period he is away from the club.

Gina worka in the office and has done for years...its a big opportunity. But we have to appoint someone since Russ was suspended. I feel this appointment is just a short term option whilst we way up whats going on and whose available if we need someone, the transfer window is very much open and i take it the chief executive is the first port for transfers in and out the club.

This is the One, I've waited for

Wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. The atmosphere at the club changed significantly after his arrival.

Changed for the better! Certainly for many of us Exiles he is approachable, professional and really moved the club forward. To me his loss for up to a season is a big blow, modern professional football is much more than what happens on the pitch in matches!

He was slagged rotten on here for a host of things from the gala dinner right through to the fella on the tannoy, after we drew with spurs and managed to stay up the same people have crawled right up his arse since he has been suspended. Personally who ever has the job doesn’t bother me in the slightest but some in here are very fickle. At least you are consistent.

Got the draw and subsequent replay at Wembley :p it’s been a long day what can I say. Certainly felt like a victory when Davies banged the equaliser in.

Isn't she the player liaison officer as well?

Would make sense with her experience of incoming and outgoing transfers.

The change in atmosphere, I think, is only coincidental with Russ's appointment, and not as a result of.

I think you need to look elsewhere for the source that has caused our malcontent.

Supporter Liaison Officer

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Wasnt she the player liaison officer?

Never heard of that role, tbh.

Maybe coincidence, but his reaction to the cancellation of the infamous dinner was poor & at odds with the usual club spirit.

Seeing as he got his mate Jeff Stelling to do the gig, I guess he was a bit miffed from a personal standpoint.

Daft idea to start with but we've done that to death already

“Only working class people can afford forty quid for a gala dinner, the club is distancing itself from its fanbase” therefore it’s Russ fault and the new club hierarchy.

Was a daft idea because we looked dead and buried to relegation when it was annnounced. The argument against it though was it was unaffordable and excluded kids. The reality was a few tramps wouldn’t buy a tux and have a night out so it fooked it right up for more high brow Dale fans such as myself.

Let them eat cake. The national and regional press we got painting Rochdale supporters out to be tightwads was embarrassing.

Typical response from a Tory boy...The only indoor plumbing in our house was a Jerry under the bed.
