Few things from tonight:

The board acknowledged the strength of feeling around Hill’s comments about supporters after games. They are also encouraging him to be more open with fans.

They have confidence in the manager.

Season ticket prices won’t be increased next year.

David Kilpatrick is not related to Andrew Kilpatrick is he? Why was David banned from the boardroom - I don't suppose that was explained?
Now with Smallwood signing up again it all seems quite bizarre and I wonder what's been going on.

No don't think they're related except by surnames... you've every right to wonder what's been going on,bizzare could be one way to describe it.... beware as alluded to on here, here comes the DB show

Your last sentence... out of interest... which one?

Not the last summer forum, the one before. The one that lasted about an hour and the directors didn't look like they wanted to be there.

Having a non-executive Chairman (by title or by day-to-day functionality) does not preclude success. It does, however, put a lot of eggs in the CEO basket.

Nothing is going to change and if they are fully behind Kim Jung Hill then we are fecked .
Will be very lucky to keep League One status , just like last year.

Some positives but not sure it's the best format - the topics jump about so in-depth questioning is more difficult and leads to feelings of things being 'skirted around' & it's an adversarial style. I think the main issues could have been forecast - Board changes; manager / fans relations; player / staff recruitment & contracts; ambitions / finances / season tickets; training facilities. An opening statement from the Chair of the Board about those issues with follow-up questions/comments from the floor is an option. That would have allowed positive news like holding season ticket prices to set the tone and allow for some less defensive answers e.g we are aware of the need to improve PR between the fans and the manager/ Board and here's our plan. I also feel having lots of people on the top table who aren't asked to contribute adds to the 'them & us' feeling - another option would be several smaller 'forums' with a director at each and a more discursive style & a thorough report back.

Some interesting points there tr, most of which i agree with

In an attempt to further some of them ahead of the event, i did ask questions on another thread about the format for the evening, without response

Perhaps this is something which might now be given further consideration, given the positives you rightly outline

The questions submitted via the Trust, which were put to the board at the end, did add to points already raised but as you say, the effect became somewhat disjointed

Doubt in terms of use anywhere near even. Also I have no intention of using that word again.

No.

David Kilpatrick lives in Littleborough.

Andrew Kilpatrick lives in London.

Brian Kilpatrick (deceased) lived on Guernsey and was also addressed as Cheltenham at times.

Brian and Andrew - father & son.

Mr Angry had it right at that old forum when he called DFK, "Fitzpatrick".

Brian and Andrew are related to each other, but not to David.

This reminds me of those clues they used to have on 3-2-1...

They also mentioned they want to get Zach Clough back again on loan, fans wanted to know if he was now fit. They said he was, we shall see. The argument from fans was that he wasn’t being played even when he was fit, but we rarely ever know about injuries etc. anyway.

When was Clough's last game for us? If he has been injured and now fit to play I would presume that Forest would be keen for him to now get some games under his belt and get match fit.
I've found the whole Zach Clough saga completely underwhelming. It was a big announcement for the club when he joined and I was excited to see him in a Dale shirt. The last few months have been very confusing. Why could the club not keep us up to speed with his availability?

I personally feel worse about the club now than I did before the forum. Although the directors may be doing well with their own personal businesses, I didn't hear much to inspire me that they know about running a football club and although I feel that they care about the club, their idea of going forward differs to what the majority of the fans want. I feel that the directors they have lost had lots of experience and with them, we could have turned things around, but to me, this lot just looked like boys with their toys. They had money to spare, so they bought shares in a football club but don't know how to progress it. I really hope they prove me wrong. I also still felt that there was no team Rochdale and that they did the forum as a cheap way of trying to clear the air rather than change the manager or invest in the squad, but we will see what develops.

Now that Forest have appointed Martin O'Neill as manager, Zac Clough might get a fresh chance at Forest. He seems very injury prone, so we will see whether he returns here.....

Were you at the forum? At the very least, they want communication and honesty. The directors avoided all controversial questions by changing the subject. I agree that they cannot discuss salaries or terms of contracts, but what was the point of the forum if not to give us answers and they were cagey on a lot of questions that they could have answered. They also failed to acknowledge Keith Hill's failings with the fans, and even implied that he acknowledges and thanks the fans after every game, which we all know is not true.

They see being in league 1 as success and while I am proud of them for getting in league 1, as I am sure all other fans are, I don't feel that staying in league 1 long term is a success. I am ambitious and would love to see the club progress to the Championship, but I don't feel that the board want to go higher based on their comments last night. We need ambition, and if that involves funding, we need a backer on the board. Other clubs of a similar stature to us have managed to find chairman who will sink money in to the club, so why can't we?

Early shift in Brighton for me this morning so bit too tricky to attend.
What we don't know is what will now be said behind the scenes. Someone may say to Hill, please don't be over critical of fans when the team loses. Regarding the difficult questions were the afraid of opening pandora's box if they gave honest candid responses perhaps?

Understand the desire to be ambitious, the problem is at what cost though?

It took someone to rightly point out that the public image of the club in the media is affected by these comments for some realisation that it isn’t just about fans not liking the frankly tedious comments that appear time and again.

I don’t want to hear about passions running high after games, it can be addressed by the board so the club’s image isn’t impacted. Actions speak louder than words, no matter how many words are used.

The club admits they should have Hill do interviews a day later rather then make it clear to him that slagging supporters of is inappropriate. It must be like having to deal with a spoilt child.

Ticket prices are staying the same. The thing is the ones we’ve got now aren’t worth the paper they are written on anyway.

So a lot of avoiding the issue and half answers last night then. Oh well we’ve got a manager and directors best keep our heads down and get on with it.

Imagine if the board had said they back Hill and then went on to say. However we agree he is wrong to berate fans. It is true he has had dressing room bust ups with a number of players some of which have left. How would those at the forum have reacted?

The Maestro should n't need the Directors, Chairman ,his window cleaner, his next door neighbour, the Insurance Salesman etc,how to conduct himself....he's a big lad.

I still also think that WE the paying customers have a right to express our thoughts on what we are seeing week in week out....how we do that is the problem.
