Maybe he's gone back with a chip on his shoulder.
Sam Hart on 18:42 - Jan 15 with 2916 views | jonahwhereru | Southend have always paid well, both Cox and Kightly are both on 7k a week, so they could certainly pay more of Harts wage than Rochdale did. It must have been good for Hart to be so appreciated as he was by the Rochdale fans, can only have taken it as a positive. Easy to see why Mowbray sees him as a different player now. Hope he doesn’t meet us in the end of April game.

If there is a recall clause in the contract then effectively yes. Just recall him and offer him us back for a higher price..

Yes Swindon's about 140 miles from Southend. Considering the reports of questions being skirted around on Monday. The fact regarding Sam Hart from what I gather there was a fairly comprehensive answer, I am inclined to believe that there was no or a very small dressing room bust up if any.

but still interesting how he thanked the fans and teamates, but not the manager.

Perhaps that was not a deliberate omission, did he mention any coaching staff?

I was told that he and Hill had a bust up and that is why Hart left. A clash of personalities or Hill insisting black is white and Hart disagreeing.
Sam Hart on 12:18 - Jan 17 with 1445 views | sweetcorn | I can’t really understand why some are obsessing with a player and a manager falling out. It’s happened with players throughout his time here, with players being offloaded who don’t buy into hills management approach and no one batted an eyelid, now that we’re losing games, suddenly its a major problem.. It happens at most clubs with players falling out and happens at most work places, not every manager is likeable.. Im sure hill has a long list of players who sing his praises for what he’s done for their careers, just like he’ll have a list of people who think he’s a nob.

Head above the parapet here. People obsess about it because it is another stick to bash a manager with, especially if the rumours surround a fall out with a fans favourite. I doubt Dale are unique in this regard.

It’s because it’s never happened with this concentrated regularity before. Since the start of the month we’ve lost, for one reason or other, 7 players. When have we ever had a January where we saw so much change in the squad?

Playing devil's advocate, Shun, when did we ever have a squad that big? And as we weren't ripping up trees, change was inevitable. The changes made weren't what a lot of fans expected, but we aren't managers. As for all the "rumours", I'm sure some are founded and some not. The accepted wisdom by many currently though, is that there's no fire without smoke.

Tbf, we’ve never been struggling like we have these past 2 seasons. If you’re doing well you wouldn’t want to have wholesale changes to the squad. Our squad is as big as it’s ever been and it hasn’t yielded results. Naturally with such a big squad i’d imagine it’s our biggest ever wage bill, so we’re in a position where players need to go, for others to come in. 2 of those you’ve mentioned were always scheduled to go back as well..
