Did anyone say Hill had lost the dressing room? Having an issue with several players and losing the dressing room are not the same thing.

Sorry my bad mixing my social media again. But today will definitely put that nonsense to bed.

Done gets a lot of stick but he simply isn't a left back so any criticism of him as a left back is void, its like having a decorator round to your house to hang a door. It must be demoralising. Holden was brilliant in the second half as well so I don't think its fair to write him off just yet. Barnsley won 4-1 today so we need to play like we did in the second half today to take anything from there next week.

As an aside how poor was the referee today? And I don't recall playing a bigger bunch of arseholes then Fleetwood for a while they truly do reflect their managers personality.

I would usually take your point but Done has previously excelled in the LB role over a prolonged period of time. He just looks a few yards slower than he used to (physically and mentally) and it appears that he simply can't deal with the demands of League 1 football anymore. He wouldn't have looked out of place on Lowerplace field yesterday and was rightly hoisted off at half time.

New signings look decent. EEL is an absolute tank and looks really solid, Hamilton is a midfielder who can actually shoot and Holden has a bit of quality about him.

We deserved the 3 points and played pretty well in the second half in spells. However, with a couple of those below us winning and breathing down our necks, that was a huge two points dropped against a team on poor form. As it stands, we could be a place closer to the relegation zone by 10pm on Tuesday and whilst I'm not a defeatist, I've written off next Saturday already.

With our performances improving, we finally have something to be a little more positive about. However, we need results pretty quickly because I really don't want it to go down to the wire like last season. I'm not sure I could take that again...

Enjoyed that, but would have loved the 3 points. Could have been 2 up before they scored but thought first half was fairly even and we were unlucky to go in behind. Came out much more positively in 2nd half (even before the sending off ….. why can't we start like that?) and deserved at least a draw.

Lots of decent performances yesterday. All three of the new lads looked good (especially second half) and no doubt their coming down the pyramid on loan to get playing experience in competitive games will help them and us. Agree with all the assessments of EEL. Raff and Holden linked up very well on the left in the second half and with Hamilton chipping in we looked so much more positive - players wanting the ball and playing it forward. Refreshing. Thought Camps had a good game too - spraying passes around, especially second half. No major clangers from Jim. Dooley (despite motm accolade) looked goosed for most of the last 20+ mins but he will run at defences and makes lost of positive contributions. Looked to have a better shape and balance - almost like a team! We had plenty worth cheering for yesterday ….. not too many games where that's been the case this campaign. We seem to be heading in a better direction and let's hope we can strengthen further?

He is not that only player we need to deal better with L1 bullies. Definitely deserved the 3 points. Hope any talk of losing the dressing room will have been put to bed.
Long weekend next week so might venture up to Barnsley

Spot on. The new players are similar to our kids but better as they are getting involved for the full 90 minutes. . However we don’t have a midfield “enforcer” anywhere in the squad so unless we are going to get one in the next 2 weeks we are stuck with what we have . Camps, Rathbone, Hamilton, Dooley, Holden would be the best 5 we have in midfield, IMO but tough tackling & ball winning they ain’t. As a result we need to keep the ball as much as possible.

A forward & hard case midfielder would be my priority even though another defender wouldn’t go amiss. Doubt we will get the attacker though

I cant believe that anyone who saw that first half yeaterday wouldn’t have a LB as their priority signing.

Done is apparently our number one choice and he got run ragged AGAIN, as long as he’s in the side at LB, we’ll concede goals

Completely agree. Although many on here don't, I quite like Ntlhe and unless injured he should be starting ahead of Done easily, as much as I used to love Done, he hasn't been up to scratch for some time, especially at left back.
Keith did say yesterday he is looking for a left back in his post-match interview.

We need both. If we get the midfielder we would take some pressure of the defence & someone like Nkosi might get by. if we don’t then we would need another LB. Due to availability/affordability I would assume ultimately a LB will be most likely as good forwards & midfielders are harder to come by on the cheap.

Appreciate where you're coming from but sweetcorn is correct that LB is the absolute priority at the moment. Teams have cottoned on and are now blatantly targeting our left side with far too much success. I do feel a bit sorry for Done but he just isn't up to it and it was a painful/frustrating watch

Couldn't agree more.

Done has been poor this season and he looks to be getting worse every game. It's not gone unnoticed by opposing teams either, they favoured attacking down our left side from the off. Fair enough, he didn't get much protection from Holden, but he got rinsed time and again.

Done has been fantastic for us, both on the pitch and financially off it, but I fear he's not good enough anymore. It has taken a while, but I think Hilly has run out of patience. Done would fall into the category of being one of Hilly's favourites and trusted players, but hauling him off at half time is a big statement.

Signing a left back is the #1 priority. We don't even need a world beater, or a flying wing-back, just a steady left back with a bit of presence who can defend. Let the likes of Dooley and Holden do the attacking. Raff did a cracking job at left back but it would be a risk asking him to play in an unnatural position for a prolonged spell.

Just watched the highlights on Sky Sports...

That miss was even worse on camera. They didn't exactly have to work had to get the opportunity.

As we've seen so many times, the defending of the second ball is terrible. Calvin does his job with the first ball in but we simply don't defend the second ball. Somebody needs to get out toward the corner of the six yard box.

I think that red card was harsh.

Dooley's ball in for our goal was superb.
