This is a big half. Brave substitution but seems a bit desparate. We need some inspiration. Snow on the Snake Pass (and jet lagged) so listening in. Coyle red card so gives us a chance!

2 footed lunge on Rafferty. We have started brightly even before the card. Need to start testing the keeper now

Not sure this is the right game for a 16 year old.

Hospital pass from Dooley drew a bad tackle from their player.

No excuse to not throw everything at them now.

2 great efforts both just outside the post. Fell to Holden and Hamilton but we need some to fall to Hendo

20 minutes left. All the play in their half as you would expect against 10 men. Lot’s of effort and at least shooting, but looking like one of those frustrating 1-0 defeats

And almost another. 1-1 chance with the keeper who literally got a toe on it to deflect it wide

All Dale now

Finished 1-1. Could have nicked it & certainly helped playing against 10 men but it is the second game on the trot that we have improved v the 3 drubbings. Far play to Hill who took of the one really weak link we had in the first half & I wouldn’t entertain playing Done against Barnsley. Landell has to start every game at the back for me and Hendo needs to be out and out striker. Let’s hope for another striker before the loan window ends because we have a midfield who can actually create openings

Overall a bit disappointed we couldn’t beat the 10 men but onwards & upwards

I would’ve been happy with a draw before the game but playing against ten men for half the match and only drawing is a pretty rubbish result. It’s really frustrating with how dominant we were in the second half too, and I’m starting to forget what our last good result was.

Just checked, it was on Boxing Day.

Really impressed with all three loanees today. Holden’s quick, skilful, and on that evidence the best crosser at the club. Hamilton likes to get stuck in and has a great shot on him. Ebanks-Landell was an absolute sentinel and my man of the match - that was a better performance than any of McGahey’s all season.

Madden really impressed me but Fleetwood were just not a nice team. They were absolutely taking the piss out of the referee. The sending off was never a red card but I’m glad they finished the game with ten men because that’s what their timewasting and diving deserved.

Very silly. the support today was excellent. Cant criticise us today I thought we played well and showed heart. in the wider context though we needed the win as I cant see us getting anything against Barnsley.

Good battling performance. Good point against a strong Fleetwood side. Best find something to moan about then.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Frustrating to not get a winner but it's never that simple against 10, but one thing was very simple... our MoM by a very long way was Ebanks-Landell, a proper centre-back who can play the ball too but no nonsense when required. Paired up well by Big Jim who had a decent game too

Posted at ht that Holden & Hamilton were too lightweight and don't think the second half against 10 men showed whether they'll be able to improve their ability to hold off experienced L1 midfielders - Fleetwood were all over them and whilst i'm not giving up on them they'll need to move up a steep learning curve to be of much use in a relegation scrap. We're right in one too, just hope today can be seen as a turning point

Don't want to hear a dickybird from the manager - really best if he keeps his thought to himself and just gets the team set up to make something of next week's fixture against Barnsley

That was a big improvement over what we've been served up recently.

But... it was the same old same old until the totally pathetic Matt Done was removed from the firing line. Time for him to have a long rest...he is going worse and worse, and has completely lost the ability to play either fullback or striker. It was either him or Jim who played statues for their goal, and Done especially had one of the worst defensive halves I can remember for ages.

Thank God for Henderson. Calvin would never have scored that goal, because his instinct is not to attack the ball but to let it arrive where he is standing. Watch Hendo's superb movement infront of the defender for the goal, and also for the one just after where the keeper makes a good save.

The new lads all did quite well...especially after the harsh red card. Hamilton likes a shot, which is so refreshing to see, and Ebanks Landell was superb at the back, and arguably my man of the match.

Very disappointed to see Hill run down the tunnel both at half time and again at the end of the match. This drives a fookin big coach and horses through his post match interview after the last home game where he justified his clapping off the players at half time, and subsequent swear fest at supporters with "the players needed my support"

Why not today Keef? What could possibly have changed?

If the Board are serious that they want to stay up, then we MUST bring in a striker, and do it soon.

Shame the new Chairman was yet again absent to see this encouraging display. However, the team we fielded today won't stay up without a significant investment in a striker.

Done gets a lot of stick but he simply isn't a left back so any criticism of him as a left back is void, its like having a decorator round to your house to hang a door. It must be demoralising. Holden was brilliant in the second half as well so I don't think its fair to write him off just yet. Barnsley won 4-1 today so we need to play like we did in the second half today to take anything from there next week.

As an aside how poor was the referee today? And I don't recall playing a bigger bunch of arseholes then Fleetwood for a while they truly do reflect their managers personality.
