Perhaps expecting a win there a tad unrealistic? After the drubbing we got at home by them, losing 2-1 away has to be seen as an improvement. We still need to pick up points more frequently though. |  |

Wasn't really expecting anything today so can't really complain at a 2-1 defeat. But it is a sorry state of affairs that a 2-1 defeat is starting to feel like a not too bad result.
It's going to get to the point were putting up a fight but not getting points isn't enough.

Agree with that and while results have been dire lately, performances are certainly improving and we’ve had a tough run of games. Those next 4 games really give us the opportunity to pick up some points, especially with Walsall, Wimbledon and Cov being well out of form. Anything less than 2 wins from the next 4 games would be really poor, and pretty damning.
I’d love to hear a good report from the souls who went today. How did McLoughlin fare? And Matheson?

Thought you lads played well today and we really scraped a win, you must admit though that your goal keeper was slowing things up from about 15 minutes in!! Our GK rolled ball to place it down and the referee booked him, a thought he was a poor official today. | | | |

Just back (fed and watered too) and went without much hope really. I haven't seen the Dale since early December - winter holiday down under - but the performance today gives some encouragement. We certainly matched Barnsley for most of the game and I thought the centre back pairing of Jim and Ethan EL worked well. McLaughlin seems a decent signing and Delaney ok at LB. Dooley busy in midfield and the two new guys both neat and mobile. Some good moves and we looked pretty solid at the back. Quick thinking by Jim with the free kick for Hendo to score one on one but we can't seem to hold onto a lead. Moore with a fine strike as the Reds responded well and Woodrow's goal on 75 minutes saw us carved apart. Luke M on as a sub when we were going for an equaliser and amused me to see him take a throw from 10 yards behind the line to keep the game flowing. Certainly didn't look out of place. As others have said next four games are important but there's a better feel about the team and the place at the moment. Keith and the players all applauded us at the end. | | | |

Defence did ok, didn’t think Delaney had a good game, Dooley does well but for what I saw could have released the ball a bit earlier some times.
Camps was the weak link today, had a shocker....
Thought overall decent effort but no reward, the stem of Goals flying in seems to have ebbed away but no luck, couldn’t blame Josh for the 2 Goals ...
Worries me so many teams above & below with 2 games in hand now, a long slog & only a handful of days left for new recruits...
