My simple maths are that blocks U and V, two nearest to WMG will equate to circa 500 for Sunderland and block W will be empty.
This based on the fact that those of us having to move can only move to X Y and Z.

I think block U which contains 532 seats will be used to house the mackems and the section of V where the seating doesn't go to the back of the stand will be used for segregation.
Have Sunderland fans caused any grief on the road this season? As far as I know we were impeccably behaved in the north east, so hopefully they give Rochdale the same respect. |
Wycombe fans weren’t too happy about the Mackems ripping out their seats and hurling them.
Ironically it was part of a stand that the regulars had to vacate to accommodate the visitors as well! |  | | |

Just did a bit of research. If my counting was correct section U in the Pearl Street holds 532 and 289 of those seats are reserved by season ticket holders. I will guess the segregation netting will mean a further 45 ST holders in section V will need to be moved so that is 334 ST fans being told to move.
It will be interesting to know how the letter is worded. |
Not necessarily, James. There’s nothing to suggest those 334 ST-holders all sit in their allocated seats. Given that this is a corner block and the central blocks are generally more popular I would doubt it. I had a ST for a few years in the TDS and had no idea where my reserved seat was - my pals and I all just sat wherever we found empty stickerless seats. |  | | |

We've had numerous big clubs play at Spotland in League matches over the past ten years or so.
Both Sheffield clubs, Spurs, Huddersfield, Southampton, Leeds, Wigan, Bradford, Blackburn, Stoke, Notts Forest. Need I go on? Their supporters didn't get allocated any of the home stands - like Sunderland, they'd have sold out any allocation they got regardless of the size of it.
This is a bit of a joke. If the board don't believe that we can sell the home ends out for the Sunderland game by putting home fans in them - and without further aggravating our fans - then they don't know our club. Yes, we take in a little bit more by charging higher ticket prices to away fans, but how much of that is lost in extra security costs? More so, what is the cost to club-supporter relations in all of this?

As a season ticket holder in block W I need to physically go to the ticket office (preferably before tickets go on general sale on March 25th) to get my new ticket. Not entirely sure how I'm going to do that since I'm at uni over 200 miles away until the end of March? Seems like such a hassle just to accommodate an extra 500 away fans and guarantee we'll be out-sung and probably out-numbered in our own ground. |  | | |
