Perhaps my question to the Trust board was lost in the midst of yet more annoyance created by the CEOs Sunderland ticketing bollox.

Was the Trust consulted and opinion sought with regards this issue?

It says it can all be sorted over the phone if fans are unable to get to the ground.

It does because you can ring the club and sort it out over the phone, as per the link. Presumably, they will sort out your new ticket to be picked up on the day of the game.

About 12 months ago the Trust did it's job and stood up for its membership and fan base in objecting to the Gala dinner farce.

Now we see them having their belly tickled and negotiating a futile gesture of appeasement, operating as an extension of the club PR charm offensive.

Where is the segregation and safety plan?

What is the cost of the additional profit expected from selling out our own fans?

Where is the evidence of seeking and representing fans concerns?

How does one give away a ticket to the shittest entertainment in the north west?

The trouble is with this situation is the Trust members who are affected by this decision seem split, some are against it, but some are not bothered by the decision and are happy to move for one game, so which members are we supposed to represent?
Going off DB’s video, the planning for this was in the pipeline some time ago the first time myself and some of the other Trust board members were aware of it was at a Trust board meeting on Wednesday night.
When it comes to the club wanting to maximise a revenue stream for one game, the decision seems to have been made, with the Trust consulted after the decision.
I might be wrong on the above, but this is what went on in my situation.

Does the video interview from Friday not cover these concerns? If there's something specific not covered from a safety point of view, let me know and I'll ask that question for you. We know which block they have, we know what section will be closed off to segregate supporters, we know Dale fans will have access to Studds, toilets and the kiosk at one end, which Sunderland will have the kiosk and toilets at the other side.

Fair enough, it doesn't come out and mention pounds and pence about how much extra money is going to come from doing this but common sense surely dictates that if it wasn't worth doing, then it wouldn't be happening. I don't think anyone would realistically want such specifics. What I do know is that the last two home games brought in a total of £21,000 from those paying on the night. So if as a club we are making approx £10,000 gate receipts from an average fixture, you see the impact that making an extra 500 seats to away supporters would make. We have been told that gate receipts last year totalled around £1million and that included the Cup run. With no Spurs game, this one fixture cost result in 15% of gate receipts for the full season.

The club have to try and bring in as much as cash as they can because its not sat on top of a big pile of cash. You look at them pitch covers that were brought in that ensured two games went ahead. it might have just been a few days they were hired for, but they cost thousands to do so.

Opinions are divided on this as it was always going to be. Some like yourself disagree, others agree with it. There's evidence enough on here of that split but the club have opted to go down the route of maximising income from this game. We only got 4300 at home for a game we got promoted in so we're not going to get a Spurs style home attendance for what is a league game.

It's not uncommon for clubs to do things like this. I think Oldham, Accy and Bury have all done similar, and I'm sure there are other examples too. No one is being kicked out of a stand, just moved down 25-30 yards and are given a free ticket to a game, something extra that wasn't done by the aforementioned three clubs.

We are accommodating an extra 532 Mackems who will be in block U (which has a capacity of 532).
DB said police have said Sunderland fans a charming and really well behaved. If that is the case why are blocks V and W closed off for segregation?

Thank you for the detail Col.

I am disappointed that the Trust has not made mention of any specific concerns those it represents might have.

This obsession with maximising income does not address the actual cost of doing so.

Please don't attempt to lecture me in the importance of generating revenue in order to keep a business as a going concern. It's how the club appear hell bent on going about it. Profit before safety.

The club failed to control fans at the Bradford game not in the same stand. I am very concerned about how they will police them in the same stand. If it is extra manpower of a higher calibre than the regular stewarding , then does further cost justify riling and inconveniencing season ticket holders? Does netting off seats in order to sell to the opposition make a justifiable business case?

The Gala dinner was said to be maximising income. Fans stopped it and the club admitted it had been a mistake.

This message board is not the sole barometer of fans feelings on this issue. Other social media platforms, and even fans who do not use social media, provides plenty of anti club feeling on this matter.

I didn't watch the video. His previous diary proved to be utter bollox.

Which way does the blocking go as you look at the stand from the pitch?

Is it (left to right) ...QRSTUVW or WVUTSRQ...?

I sit in block T, so which side of me are UVW on? Surely U and V will be the segregation, with Sunderland fans in W.

Or has the alphabet changed?

Block T is the last block in the Willbutts towards the Pearl Street end.

From Willbutts side to Main Stand, the blocks go UVWXYZ.

Really? Thanks for that Will. I thought the T on my season ticket was for the block, but it must be for the row.

If you sit on the second row from the back, the T does mean row.

Have you had a letter about moving seats? I haven't had one and I am in block W in front of you.

Does anybody know if they are closing all of block W or just part of it? Not sure why they can't just specify the blocks and/or seat numbers so people can be certain.

Have to admit, after reading all the available info (incl. club letter) i'm still not clear either whether i need to get a ticket other than my ST

Is it as simple as: if you have a ST for the Pearl St, you need to get a matchday ticket?

Or is it just those displaced by the Sunderland fans?

If anyone is reading this from the club, could you please set out in clear terms who needs to do what?

FFS, you ungrateful wretch, as a sign of how far we have come as a club we are playing Sunderland for the first time ever in our 112 year history. Coincidentally, it will be Sunderlands first ever league game in front of our Family stand so we thought we'd populate it with several mackems and some netting. If you currently sit in blocks U, T, W, A and T then you simply MUST appear in person at the ticket office ( and you'll have to guess the opening hours), it's simply too bad if you're an 11 year schoolchild or domiciled in Cheshire and work miles away. We do hope that you are actually a season ticket holder in the Plebiscite family enclosure and not a Sandy Lane dweller, not that 1 fook is given, just show me the filthy dosh.

Hope this helps.

Aye, I know you are. I don't know how you cope, to be honest.

Anyway, good question; no I haven't and neither have my chums.

Surely two blocks don't need closing for segregation? I would have thought the Sunderland fans plus segregation would go up to the point where the tunnel is to the loo and the refreshment bars, with stewards or some form of barrier across the bottom to stop them crossing into the block directly behind the goal.
