Hopefully we will be better prepared Police/Steward wise on Saturday On another note, do we clap Harrison for his service to the club or boo the traitor 😀😀 Wonder if Matty Lund will make an appearance as well, think he’s been missing in action for a while?

Apparently TVOS that's how our country's leaders describe people who aren't in their team

Actually, it's a word used by the Speaker, unless you can show me a direct quote from any of our leaders demonstrating otherwise? [Post edited 21 Mar 2019 20:30]

I believe Matty Lund has something degenerate injury with his knee, so doubt he will appear. Personally I don’t blame Harrison for moving on, for a better wage, let’s face it he was hardly treated well by his then manager. I hope he gets a good welcome. All clubs have bellends, and having lived in both Rochdale and a village 5 miles from Scunthorpe, they are remarkably similar towns in many ways. I don’t honestly see how the op post reflects on 99% of the fans who will attend. Of course if that happened then it wrong, but some dogs have fleas etc.

sCunThorpe Fans on 20:56 - Mar 21 with 5037 views | jonahwhereru | Traitor is a term most commonly seen in the Daily Mail and the Daily Express these days. As for Harrison and Matty why can see no reason why both should both be welcomed, they both provided sterling service to the club.
sCunThorpe Fans on 00:03 - Mar 22 with 4841 views | Shun | Matty’s one of my favourite Dale players of all time. If we had him now we wouldn’t even be thinking about the bottom 4 (even with him missing a third of every season through injury). McGahey I was never a huge fan of but he’ll get an applause from me tomorrow should he play.
sCunThorpe Fans on 00:05 - Mar 22 with 4852 views | Sandyman | The Daily Mail has, over the past three years at least, used the word traitor to describe anyone who disagrees with its headbanging extremist view of anything . I guess from a paper that supported Hitler in the 1930's , one can expect little else. Welcome back Matty and Harrison. They served RAFC well. [Post edited 22 Mar 2019 0:07]

As far as i am aware, they are not well known for hooli stuff yet time and again it happens at our place. I expect the TDS corner will wind them up once more on Sat. Albert and the lion stylee.

With the new "smart" motorways and variable speed limits, there's a go slow on it every day now!

Lund - good servant. We were always better with than without him. McGahey - let’s hope he still defends corners like KH taught.

Neither him nor McArdle got much of a reaction at all! If a new fan had come today they wouldn’t have known the two of them had ever played for us. Lund was nowhere to be seen either. Stanton actually got the biggest reaction! It brought back some very good memories from those early days under Hill, and it was nice to see him having a laugh with some young Dale fans in the Sandy Lane.

Heavier than usual* police presence today, probably to ensure nothing happening that might disrupt plans for our next home game * why do they always look like sumo wrestlers these days?

Thanks for that chaps. Great result and tbh sounds like no negativity most ex players is preferable. Obviously the likes of Dave Frain/Barry Diamond back in the day deserved all they got.

There are still a small number of Dale fans, me most notably, who have never fully recovered from the Frain/Beaumont/Ward treachery. But Frainly mainly.

sCunThorpe Fans on 21:01 - Mar 23 with 3087 views | Ninco | I thought they were quite a well behaved bunch today. Even saw a few Dale fans trying to goad them and they just ignored it. I think if you are travelling that distance for a 90 minute game, the last thing you want to do is cause trouble and risk not being able to see the game.

First visit to Spotland today and if i look beyond the result i have to say what a great club Rochdale is. A proper club and i hope we both survive the drop this season. Spoke to a few Dale fans and found them really friendly and knowledgeable about us and L1. It was a pleasure to meet them. As for our performance, first half was ok and i thought we were going to come out 2nd half and start on the front foot so God knows what happened. Your first was due to our defender simply not being strong enough or dealing with the ball. Second was a good finish but again, poor marking. Third, well it doesn't matter really. You were prepared to scrap harder for the win and fully deserved it in the end. McCall needs to change the formation, drop McArdle and start playing Hammill and then we might stand a chance. With a bit of luck he might be sacked before he realizes this is what he needs to do. Good to hear our fans were a good bunch today by and large. We have our contingent of fans bereft of brain cells yes but like someone on this thread pointed out, so does every club. Anyway hope we both can avoid the drop this season and rebuild for next. UTI!
