play offs etc so far 07:42 - May 12 with 9429 viewsfrenzied

Great to see Conrad Logan in fine form yesterday..
Scott Wiseman on his way to league 2 with Salford.
Sunderlands attendance was far lower than I would have expected for a play off.
Craig D throwing up at the WBA game..off at half time.
If Tranmere get promoted then they along with Luton and Sheff Utd will have all had back to back promotions!!...im not sure but have Salford also had back to back promotions?

So Tranmere just edge it ... probably better for Dale away supporters-wise and the shorter journey.

Perkins played the full two hours, and picked up his usual yellow card.

And finally gets to play in a playoff final at Wembley, 11 years since he was denied

Looking forward to seeing him at COA next season, probably grinding an axe already

Pleased for Tranmere. Remarkable turnaround in fortunes with back to back play off victories.

Hoping for Charlton tomorrow. Struck me as a proper club in 2005 when we played there in the FA Cup and they were in the Premier League and were very welcoming. Their fans have been through the wringer and deserve something to celebrate. And Sunderland better for us in terms of away following.

Villa on Monday if possibility of additional Hogan money coming our way. That and possible sale of Craig Dawson to Burnley could transform our finances and prospects for next season.

Arsenal for the Europa League. More to like about them than Chelsea.

Champions League is a tricky one. Pochettino deserves to win a major trophy for the job he has done with Spurs. On the other hand, Liverpool deserve to end this season with silverware and failing to do so might well make them less of a force to challenge domination by City next season

Good point in your last paragraph. There was a crazy stat the other day where in something like 119 of the previous 121 seasons Liverpool would’ve won the league with the points they’d amassed. A side that good deserves to win a trophy.

Shun

Was that taking into account that it used to be 2 points for a win and not 3?

And it used to be a 42 game season and not 38

They were the best play offs I can recall overall..a v good standard throughout and very watchable league 1 and Championship finals...I didn’t realise that so many of the Villa and Derby players are loanees from other clubs...Villa are going to have to spend a few quid to stay up..
