His accident wasn't just a little bump. He crashed into the central reservation on the M55. I believe the motorway was even closed for a short time. From local news reports it sounds like he hit the central reservation and then span back across the lanes into a tree. He is very fortunate to be on his feet. There's nothing much funny about this, especially funny enough to make crap word-association jokes, which died with Wacaday about 30 years ago (apart from this forum obviously). |
So why use the seriousness of the accident to make your usual useless observations about word-association?

I would imagine with broken ribs and collarbone it will be a few months.
It'll be a minimum of 6 weeks for the healing process, but probably a further 3 - 4 weeks to get back up to fitness. | |

Deary me seems like the outraged brigade is all over this thread some have voted several times to show their displeasure.
Very sad for Joe Bunney just at a time when he could be a part of the Bolton resurgence under Hillcroft. I wish him a speedy recovery but would expect he will be out until December at least. |

When I put on my post I thought that Joe had just been in a car prang as the link said that he was only being kept in for 48 hours as a precautionary measure but if I had known that he was on the motorway and hit the central reservation I probably wouldn't have made fun of him because I would imagine that it was a terrifying experience if nothing else,having said that the British have always taken the mickey out of other people's misfortune but alas I fear that also will soon be jumped upon by the snowflakes who need something to complain about and it will be a sad day when that happens

What we do know is Bunney was driving at speed at 3.45 am on Sunday morning when his car hit the median barrier which then veered across the road and hit a tree. Joe Bunney was lucky that he survived as were the occupants of any other vehicle that was on the same motorway at the same time. | |
