I am a bit concerned about Ali's form. His batting has really lost its way recently. If Dawson was fit he would be a serious option to replace him. I am not really seeing a young white ball spinner coming through who can offer a bit with the bat. Obviously there is Parkinson but he is a limited batter. |  | | |

I thought it unfair the pundits seemed to suggest laying the blame at Glenn Maxwell’s door, though, when Steve Smith’s dismissal was nonchalant while the Aussies were flying. [Post edited 4 Sep 2020 23:40]

What a mess it all is. With so much testing one false positive can thow a whole series in doubt. It is a shame as South Africa have three more series planned over their summer that could be cast in doubt. Some England players also have BBL contracts and time at home that could be in doubt if the pressumed positives in the England camp are actual positives. I suppose elite sportsmen have the access to getting multiple tests to verify a positive result. | | | |
