Good thread! Got to be from 10/11 onwards

Lillis
Rafferty, Dawson, O’Connell, Rose (TK was only a bit part after first promotion. If Bunney hadn’t got injured and totally lost form...)
Allen, Cavanagh, Lund
NML, Hogan, Henderson.

I would like to try to find a place for Donal McDermott. Exceptional skill yet another of Hill’s broken toys.

You rate Rose better than RND 442, I'm struggling with that one?!!

Ignored loan players. I've also left Jones out because in my head he's more a player from the previous decade.

I would argue Jonah's best ever season for Dale was 2010/2011 though. Scored 17 in the league that season, including THAT screamer at Southampton.

Tangled up in blue.

Reflecting on the last decade there have been some pretty average players pass through the club and not many that would set the world on fire.

The 2010 decade horror show X1 can read:

GK Joel Castro Pereira
RB Kevin Amankwaah
CB Pim Balkestein
CB Neil Trotman
LB Marc Twaddle
RM Simon Hackney
CM David Syers
CM Ray Putterill
LM Craig Curran
CF George Donnelly
CF Terry Gornell

On the positive side:

GK Josh Lillis - great servant; hope he gets some recognition for that.
LB Matt Done - better at left back than anywhere else for Dale.
CB Craig Dawson - done exceptionally well since leaving Dale.
CB Jim McNulty - deaf in one ear, has one kidney; still not a bad defender
RB Joe Rafferty - top pro and will do well in the Championship
LM Michael Rose - has magic toes
CM Gary Jones - Dale legend; a shame about the bad feeling on leaving
CM Gary Dicker - classy midfielder; this decade's Alan McLoughlin
RM Nathaniel Mendez-Laing - from Rochdale to the Premier League
CF Ian Henderson - could beat Reg Jenkins record; great servant.
CF Chris O'Grady - best mobile target man we have had

Honourable mentions for:

Joe Thompson (for beating cancer & that goal vs Charlton);
Steven Davies (for that goal vs Spurs at home);
Stephen Humphreys (for that goal vs Spurs at Wembley);
Conrad Logan (for that first spell before he did his achilles)
Jamie Allen (a joy to watch; a shame we didn't keep him)
Peter Vincenti (all round nice guy)
Ethan Ebanks-Landell (key to keeping us up last year)

George Bernard Shaw had it right: "He who can does; he who cannot, teaches." https://www.visittheusa.co.uk/

Surprised there aren't more votes for COG. I thought he was awesome. Gary Jones too.

I would have Roland Bergkamp and Matthew Barnes-Homer up top ahead of both Donnelly and Gornell. Whilst the latter two weren't great they at least had their moments and contributed a few goals. We've had worse 'keepers than Pereira as well, who wasn't terrible just decidedly 'meh' considering he came from Man Utd,

Agree with those two. Gornell was far from the worst striker we’ve seen.

RND has played less than half a season in the decade, with some of it at CH. Just feel picking a team would need players to have done well over a bit longer period of time.

On a similar theme, Heaton only played 3 games for us in this decade!i

I seem to remember Gornell having a right game and scoring a couple of goals at Valley Parade.
