You must know the exact details of the offer on the table from the club as a comparison to Hendos apparent demands, how else can you "maintain he is being greedy"?

Can't say I know all the details but I've heard enough from reliable sources to form that opinion and I stand by it but if you feel different thats fine - we'll agree to differ.

Poll: So who do you believe - Hendo or the Board?

If these sources are so "reliable" and you dont even need to name names but why not tell us all what his wage demands actually are compared to what hes currently earning then we can all make our own minds up too if hes being greedy?

One sad aspect of this is that we’ll likely never see Luke Matheson in a Dale shirt again, and we won’t get to give him the send-off he deserves.

Because I don't believe it is right to share the figures on a public forum.

Very true, neither is it right to label someone greedy purely going off hearsay.

or to label him greedy for looking after his best interests. As others have said on here he owes RAFC nothing...he has fulfilled his contract. And similarly we owe him nothing going forward other than respect for his service and achievements in our colours.

A great servant to the club and if he believes his future is elsewhere good luck to him. He should always be welcomed back to Spotland with warmth and respect.

Greed - my ass!

Agreed- is there a club in League 1 who would turn down Henderson on a free contract? Over the last few years he's been as good as anyone in this league. Yes, we've supported him and he's stated as such loads of times in interviews and paid us back tenfold.

Many of us said on another thread that Pitman was a 'Bucket List' signing had we been able to sign anyone- is Henderson's status in League 1 really that far off his? I'd imagine their wages are quite far apart! For me it isn't about greed it's more about getting your market value as a player (I have no idea what that would now be due to Covid)

Sensible, organised head and as his priorities spot on.....

My all time favourite Dale player Mr Lyndon Symmonds

Carlisle have announced their released list.

One name that stood out was Harry McKirdy - for those at the League Cup game this season it was his run which set up their penalty. Twitter indicates he may come with some baggage, but definitely got some skill

He looked to have something about him in the televised cuptie at Walthamstow Avenue.

He was superb in that game, would definitely add something to our final three. Worry that he may already be on quite a few club's radars, though.

Not at all unexpected that one. Will still cost a pretty penny if we want him.

Can’t see us investing a penny on a player when the market is going to be saturated with footballers desperate for a club.

Think we will be playing hardball with any player out of contract and anyone we intend to sign. Lots of decent players out there who will be willing to take pay cuts to have a job!

Absolutely.

There will be plenty of players on one year deals on significantly lower wages. I suspect many players will rue the fact that they have turned down, what now look like good deals.

How much do you think that Luke Matheson would have gone for if Dale was looking to sell him now,I know that he's one for the future but I'm presuming that Dale would have taken a bit of a loss on the offers pre Coronavirus?

Good question. It shows we got lucky really with hindsight as there’s a good chance he wouldn’t have attracted any offers at all when clubs at all levels are reassessing their business. A guess? 300k.
