The board have acted before and got rid. Look at Shrewsbury looked dead and buried and have had a bounce. Embarrassingly bad again. Change of manager please

Are we one of the shortest and lightest squads in league 1. it seems like every team are taller and bigger than us on average.

For a short while, I was pleased (even at 1-0) with how we had started but christ, this is a genuine chore to watch now.

Always been a supporter of BBM but our continuing defensive naivety is making it increasingly difficult to maintain said support.

I still think this squad is good enough to stay in League One but it looks top half of League Two at best, the way we're playing.

A myriad of problems on display today, not least of which is a paucity of confidence, but our passing has been absolutely dog sh1te at times. We aren't even doing the basics right. If this is fresh, I can't face "stale" and tired.

Any suggestions?
It’s sad to say but I think it’s the only way we will have a chance to survive.
The fact we have actually spent much needed money on players makes it worse.
I’m not saying we should be were Accy are but it shows what can be done on a tight budget.
Staying up is enough for me especially with the way things are going.

9.5 home games. Scored 7 conceded 18.

Probably a good job fans aren't allowed in.

And from a Dale corner it's 0-3 Crewe.

Barring a miracle, looks like 1 home win in 14 this season. Speaks volumes.

And now it looks like O'Connell is injured.

Wow, that record is worse than I realised.

I actually don’t know what to say anymore.

Not looking forward to Charlton.

Its the style of play thats killing us. Every team has us sussed now. We can be pressed so easily.
There is no plan b. Its just predictable and slow. He has to go i’m afraid.

and a carbon copy of the first 2. We had a shot that was blocked and 10 seconds later it's in the back of our net. Absolutely superb counter attacking display by Crewe. We haven't helped ourselves but surprised they had scored so few away from home

McShane on now for EOC who is injured

McShane will no doubt be injured after being asked to play 45mins of football

There is no way that any other manager would survive in the job after the last three horrendous home performances. The two freak results at Plymouth and Wigan have certainly masked the inadaquacies of this team even allowing for the financial restraints we are under.

Statement now required asap from Mr Bottomley. What is more important. Keeping BBM or having pathetic season tickets sales next season. Your decision. Your silence 're the situation is s pathetic strategy.

We are going down. Completely destroyed by a team that can score whenever they fancy it.

BBM out for me. Dont think we can afford to do it though.

Edit - I have to say as well that I find watching us just sad nowadays. I cant even get angry anymore.

Great team, great team effort from everybody at the club. Bought an iFollow pass and some half time raffle tickets to ‘say’ thank you!

To even begin to suggest new fans might be interested in coming to watch this dross in a recession post-pandemic is something which ought to be giving the board pause for thought. If it ain't broke don't fix it. There's now an overwhelming body of evidence to suggest it is broke though

Changing manager won't guarantee staying up though, that is the problem the board face. Pay off BBM get in a more expensive experienced manager but still go down we are in an even worse state financially than keeping BBM and going down. If BBM was possessed by the ghosts of Shankly, Clough, Busby, Robson and Paisley would he get this squad staying in League 1? I am really not sure he would.

Sad to see and sad to say but BBM is totally out of his depth to change this. It's the same shambles every home game. He is an academy coach were results don't matter. Time for a change now

I wasn't sure whether we could afford to change manager, but if we can afford to add several backroom staff we can't be so strapped as to lumber on with the top dog

Got to agree here - there's an air of inevitability about it all. We concede first and then you're just waiting for the floodgates to open.

Exactly where my thoughts are at right now. I’ve always defended him due in part to the fact we haven’t had a fit squad all season. Left-back and Ryan aside, this is as close to full strength as we’ll get and Crewe are giving us a counterattacking masterclass. Either BBM changes his style or he goes.

what kind of half time team talk will change anything. Another game gone and onto Charlton who are struggling a bit of late......so we know what that means

Anyway the pitch is looking good. Keep it under 7 please Dale in the second half.
