Exactly that. You have the option of appointing a proxy who will vote per your wishes. CD may even approach shareholders like yourself and seek your support either to get an EGM underway and / or to support a resolution to replace the board.

Obviously at an EGM there may be discussion and an opportunity to ask questions on the resolution for those who can attend. Or it might go straight to a vote firstly on a show of hands but by request of those present and more likely a count of shareholdings in favour or against the resolution presented to the EGM.

How about setting up a crowd fund to put adverts in the press for all shareholders to come forward and vote for an EGM to take place.

thats if what dunphy says is true we have only heard 1 side and in the 1st 2 questions he contradicts himself by saying he has not been in contact with the board however in the next breath he says he as spoken to kelly i just dont know who we can trust anymore the only thing i do know we need a new ceo

"There has been no contact from the club, although I have had a meeting with interim chairman Andrew Kelly."

That's what he said, which isn't what you thought he said

You thought he'd "been in contact" - which implies he'd initiated the contact

CD stated he'd had no contact FROM the club

Only since he announced his willingness to return. Don't forget that the Trust has yet to release a response to their questions from the club.

Anyone know why John Smallwood resigned?

and key in that statement is "CD rejected outright the American bid and signed the board minutes to that effect. One year later, he sold his private shares to the same people and only CD can explain the rationale behind his decision"

I don't see any question to CD about that in the Trust's update.

We have yet to see any answer from the current CEO, despite the question being asked (rather than not asked) many times in many different formats, as to WHY BBM was awarded a contract extension.

If my memory is correct have been told by our excellent forum journalist that there was reports of interest in BBM. I reckon someone believed this interest was genuine and got Brian to sign a contract extension so a larger compensation pay out was paid. Obviously the exciting games were not the catalyst for a good run and any has interest wained for now.

I'm not thinking what you've texted, or what you're thinking

I've simply read your post and on the basis of a misinterpretation you're inclined to make out that you don't know who to trust anymore

Let's be clear here - no one is trusting anyone else blindly, and i've said as much in previous posts regarding this matter. Your interpretation is wilful and unnecessary, when it's perfectly straightforward to most that there has been no official contact FROM the club to CD

Having a meeting with an officer of the club does not equal an official approach from the club. Is that about it?

Or he signs up and doesn't go anywhere because the suitor won't pay.

Fookin ridiculous to think anyone would pay for a manager regressing a club.

In making it clear he'd had a meeting with AK, CD was setting it on record that he'd met with him rather than having official contact from the club

They are known to each other personally, AK has been ill

Taking what CD stated as reason to mistrust him is ridiculous. Rather, it might've led to mistrust if he'd NOT stated he'd met with AK, as one former colleague to another

I don't doubt the integrity of said journalist for a moment, but as was pointed out by Laveritty on another thread, prior to the contract extension being offered, we'd won two of the previous 10 games, drawing 2 and losing 6. The home form was obviously shaky by then as well. You don't see many managers poached with such a record. (If only!) Had BBM's agent been touting him around?
When Graham Barrow's days were numbered he reckoned people from other clubs were interested in his services. Like yeah. Always lots of rumours in football.

Regarding Dunphy he saw BBM as Hill's successor. Does he think that was a mistake or that the current board have hampered Brian's ability? I probably should have emailed that to the trust

As a side note my annoying habit of asking questions is a belief that by asking questions rather than make a statement I can't be accused of being libellous for example.

Is it possible the interest wasn't that genuine but an agents ploy to get their client a contract extension?

Who knows?

The one thing that is clear about the management of the club is that it is murky.

It’s alright. You can say my name.

I was told there was one other club in League Two (but with a bigger average gate than ours under normal circumstances) interested in BBM, but they didn’t pursue that interest for the reasons outlined in the piece I wrote. This was also prior to the alleged time of the contract extension.

As I am sure can be appreciated, I don’t really want to say too much informally about the CD situation, but it’s a disservice to CD to suggest he is contradicting himself in his answers to the Trust.

He and Andy Kelly can meet and it not be officially classed as a formal approach from the club.

Well that's my hypothesis of someone thought the club would get more in compensation firmly disproved. Chris/Fitz/Fitzo what do you prefer? Do you have any idea of the full timeline of the contract extension? As in when it was offered and when it was signed? Sorry I don't know why you would know that just presuming you might be more likely to know the inside track on that.

I was as amazed as everyone else when that piece of news was dropped at the fans’ forum, believe me. I’ve heard much since, but it’s knowing who or what to believe that concerns me now.

What is the usual process with management contract extension in football? Is a new contract offered and the manager is given a defined amount of time to decided whether they want to sign the new contract?
