With Yorkshire losing today, next weeks final fixtures mean that 4 teams have a reasonable chance to be champions. If we beat Hampshire we would be champions if we can get 1 more bonus point than Warwickshire, and don't let Notts gain 3 more than us. Just 6.5 points covering the top 4.

That really was tight. From Lancs position in the first innings to win the game is a great achievement. Lots of ebb and flow in the second innings with a good start, a wobble, a recovery and then a typical attempt to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Davies did well to give the chase a good start and Bailey has been exceptional again.
Surely it must be due to rain all day in Birmingham today? Finger crossed the pitch there continues to play true and that Somerset can do the business. |  | | |
