I think I’m right in saying that the EFL regulations state that all permanent contracts have to expire on the same date, 30th June in any particular year.
So he couldn’t sign a six month deal now but he could at Christmas if you understand what I’m trying to say. |

Needs must. The finances are in a parlous state and both players and club need to get through 2021/22 and see where we are in January 2022.
BBM only has a contract to May 2022 and so will most of the players.
