I see that Bury have had to issue a statement condemning a pitch invasion during their game last Saturday.
For totally different reasons of course.
With regards to your original question I think the number of invasions may be in proportion to the number of goals conceded.

I personally think the security Bill Stewards/Gmp etc. Will cost more than their following would generate?
Even without Current Issues they are known for their antics when they come to COA.So I Dont know what the answer is to prevent any issues. |  |

The upcoming game is becoming potentially a tinder box ready to catch fire due to the latest revelations about the security firm that also supplies Spotland. Crowd trouble could very much be the main headline from the fixture as we all know the biffos like to make a scene when they travel to the Dale. I have the upmost sympathy with their supporters in the fight to save the club but this could potentially impact our own fight by taking away much needed money through fines and extra policing. I'd like to think we can show a little solidarity/support to our neighbours, but for the grace of god the wolfs threatening to blow our house down only got to the huff and puff stage. As with Bury and countless others, the wolf is in the house at Boundary Park and causing havoc.
I will cheer every goal v Oldham (I do hope we score many) but I will be mindful this is also a club on the brink, fans facing their worst fears as we only to recently were ourselves.

Limiting the capacity in the Willbutts to around 50/60% would surely make sense
Have the front rows of the stand completely clear with sufficient stewarding and a police presence along the front to nip any signs of pitch encroachment before they get anywhere near
I appreciate if say, 1000 drunken Biffos all charge at once that would be incredibly difficult, but we must have as proactive a stance as possible, to at least demonstrate we've taken measures which we'd be rightly criticised for failing to do so

I presume we have already warned the EFL about the possible pitch invasion and who knows what else by visiting fans. It would be helpful if they could send an official observer. Indeed, a prudent BOD might approach the EFL with a request not to sell tickets to away fans in this instance. There is a clear and present threat from Oldham fans to the safety of players and other people in the ground and it cannot be reasonable that Rochdale be forced to pay the cost of preventing such deliberate and illegal behaviour. |  | | |

Good point.
If the intention is already out there on the t'internet it is in the public domain, and can be used as evidence in the club's defence should the threatened pitch invasion or other disruption come to pass, and fines start being discussed.
The fact that a section of biffos has already performed the same stunt previously will also help, albeit on their own ground - it was still trespass whichever ground it was.
Of course there is always the counter-charge that Dale should have been alert to it, and planned accordingly. |  | | |

But I know what you mean. I can see us only selling our tickets to people on our database. And restricting the biffos to only selling tickets to their Season Ticket holders. That way everybody in the ground can be identified (sort of)
And a 12 noon kick off?
