Prediction on how many pitch invasions...

Poll: Final position

So just to confirm...

Online ticketing requires proof of ID via the address supplied matching the payment channel address

It doesn't stop anyone buying a ticket providing they meet that basic requirement, which is what i answered in reply to windowsbug

I didn't say anything about this stopping Latics fans or anyone else buying tickets if they have a Rochdale address. Some people need to read more carefully before trying to score pointless points

I'm not sure anyone is trying to score points.

I see it as people seeing a flaw in a ticketing system that may prove critical in ensuring absolute segregation.

I think we've invoked the spirit of Tazzy into this thread is the change in direction that may irk.

Poll: What is it to be then?

There's two issues in windowsbug's post:

Proof of ID when buying tickets on the OS, and preventing Latics fans buying tickets for the home ends

My post simply addressed the former, but was picked up on (not by you) as though i'd suggested it'd prevent the latter, which i hadn't

I can understand and appreciate the Biffo's attitude towards the owner, after what we have experienced with Curran and Rose in recent months. However the Oldham supporters trust and fans should seek support from other supporters trusts, in the way did, because we all love football and our clubs, they have done this with Orient, will they do it with the Dale?

I did notice that they are not expecting the same solidarity from the Dale fans and that may be the case, and this may be understandable being a local derby. But have the reached out to the Dale Supporters trust for support or will act seek to by disrupt the game?

Support the Oldham fans in what they are doing but:

1 - They want "new owners". As we've seen with buckets and many others, new owners isn't always the answer to the problem. They need the right owners.

2 - Great they are protesting but they will lose a lot of sympathy and solidarity from opponents fans if they start doing illegal things on other people's grounds and dropping those clubs in the poop. Oldham will deserve an away fans ban should such events happen. They need to be careful.

From last Saturday:

RAFC need to make the EFL aware of potential problems from the more excitable BIFFO's.

The general consensus from their fans on Twitter seems to align with your second point Sandyman and it seems that their protests away from home so far have not involved anything like pitch invasions and the likes.

Obviously though with a larger following in a local derby, tensions are likely to be running higher.

Tangled up in blue.

Whilst we have our own business to take care of tonight, it'll be worth keeping an eye on the scoreline when Latics take on Brentford away

Brentford will possibly rest one or two players but those coming in will be desperate to make an impact to get a chance in the Premier League

If they want a fans protest with banners and chants etc on 4 minutes, and no pitch invasion, given what we have been through recently we would support them by joining with applause wouldn't we? Despite our differences, nobody wants them to go bust or drop out of the league

It will be interesting to see how the fans react towards Keith Curle after he has publicly defended the owners.
Might have kept him his job but won’t do much for his popularity in the Chaddy End.
