URGENT APPEAL FOR SUPPORTERS 20:16 - Jan 20 with 3992 viewsjudd

The Trust has issued an appeal for supporters to sign up to the Walk to Oldham, the aim being to get several hundred supporters marching as Fans Together. It's an effort to gain publicity for the forthcoming fundraising efforts needed for legal fees in defending the High Court petition served by Morton House on our club Directors and Trust itself.
It is important to register so numbers taking part can be relayed to GMP/RMBC/OMBC in order for us to comply with public order requirements.

Thanks and hope to see you there.

It looks like the Trust need our help here... the message is clear, the #RAFC fightback against legal action Morton House starts NOW.

Its time for the collective effort that we saw over the Summer of RAFC, the Dale Trust and us, the fans, to kick in again - and step up a gear.

How can you help? Like & Share any of the posts you see on social media... get your Dale and non-Dale mates involved, and tag anybody you think could help to raise the profile of this campaign.

We won the battle - its now time to win the war.

What a splendid idea.

Imagine 1,000 likeminded fans walking to Oldham in solidarity for the club that was so nearly taken from them in Summer 2021.

You can almost hear the chants going up Oldham Road now.

"Up the Dale!"
"Not for sale"

"Up the Dale!"
"Not for sale"

There's likely to be many Daleys who can't make the walk to Oldham, but would be more than willing to contribute via sponsorship of those taking part

It'd be good to see some means whereby either individuals or perhaps the whole group of walking Daleys can be sponsored, and this could be advertised on here so that those who aren't Trust members (for instance) can also contribute

Great idea D_A. Can’t make it myself due to work commitments but would be happy to drop a few quid in to a group sponsorship.

Black dog has been keeping me up to date on the recent events and along with the Trust emails find myself back on here because of the antics of some unscrupulous chancers trying to bully their way into the club again, what exactly are they hoping to achieve by the court case,is it all bluff like previous threats of court?
It's all worrying stuff in which I thought that worst was over and half the battle was won with the recent(ish) share issue, obviously I can't make the march but would be more than willing to chuck something in the pot if there's a whip round for the cause

Poll: Will you purchase any shares?...

When the walk was originally planned 2 local charities were nominated as beneficiaries of any sponsor money.

The purpose of getting as many people to register and walk is to attract publicity for the plight of our club as well as Oldham.

Several hundred well organised and peaceful walkers will attract the attention of various media channels.
There will be a fund launched and full details published when finalised.

It's great that we have fans thinking so proactively.

Polite reminder fellow Dale fans to register so we can ensure full compliance with public order requirements.

GMP have been superb so far and really appreciate the Trust communication.

Having researched this type of legal action it can be both lengthy and expensive.

Do not be surprised if we need to raise a 6 figure fee as a minimum.

Please sign up.

Almost as many Oldham fans as Dale fans have registered for this walk.

Great that we have so many from both clubs but come on Dale fans - let's get you registered.

Cheers
