Maybe checking out reservoir levels?
I guess if ours are reasonably full?, The Southerners will be wanting some any day now. This despite the CEOs of Southern Water and Thames Water getting half million pound bonuses on top of £750k and £400k salaries respectively this year and achieving "poor" ratings from Ofwat. They have been filling in reservoirs in the South to build houses on the sites. There hasnt been a new reservoir built in the UKfor 30 years in which time the population has grown by 10 million if you believe official figures or 15 to 20m if you believe the big supermarkets loyalty card numbers. Working for Ofwat must be an absolute sinecure... what do they actually do? |  | | |

I got an email from United Utilities last week about saving water. I pointed out to them on Twitter that there is an underground leak where I live that has been pissing water for over a month now. They sent a bloke about two weeks ago who sprayed a bit of blue paint on the manhole cover and then left straight after.
One of my westerly neighbours is quite worried about what it will do to the foundations of the building and has rung them numerous times to no avail. It’s no wonder the reservoirs are dry if that’s how they operate. | | | |

On a serious note it wasn’t like plane fast, would say about 20-30mph, it was low enough to see it was all black with no markings I could see. Sounded like a quieter version of a helicopter & the 4 rotors were tilted forwards…
Bizarre, will keep my eye out of the Dog window to see if it’s on a daily route 😀 |  |
