Hello Everyone
The first kick of the ball will soon be upon us. Preparations are underway.
The reason for the post. Is there anything you might like to add or change?
We have been brainstorming and will be introducing some new products and offers. Are there any products you wish to see? etc etc I can't promise anything, but we could be missing out on some great ideas. Cost-reducing ideas?
JW Lees will continue to be our supplier. Promoting and purchasing Lees products as much as possible will benefit the club.

I proposed a very simple and easily managable scheme to sort out the pre-order of half time drinks for Rats / Dale Bar last season. The reply I got was amending the system could cost £1800. I was proposing it using a book of bingo tickets, pen, paper and common sense like numerous theatres / venues do. Pennies drawing in £££'s.

Hi Anthony, really appreciate the fact you’ve flreached out to supporters for ideas.
2 things that come to mind:
- More craft beer options (how restricted are you with Lees?)
- Dale Themed Lager/Pale Ale
- Dale Trust Member Discount?
- More Dale themed memorabilia to make it more of a home for Dale fans
- Rotated Street Food Vendors

Having an act on pre/post match doesn't seem like a great idea. I go to a lot of live music, but a beer at the football is an important social activity for a lot of fans.
It would likely end up with people not being able to hear eachother because of the act, or people not being able to hear the act because of the talking.
Assuming the singer/DJ was paid a fair fee, you'd have to be confident in taking more over the bar by having them on. [Post edited 15 Jun 2023 9:21]

Given the very different tastes in music within and across generations, it'd be as off-putting to more than it'd suit, and likely lead to a loss of custom in addition to the expense of hiring the act |  |

We are required to purchase all drink products via JW Lees. We have agreements in place that benefit the club.

Commercial are discussing & pushing for this to happen.

The Ratcliffe doesn't display much memorabilia because it is our largest function room for bookings. We need to keep this area neutral. The Dale Trust provided the memorabilia for The Dale Bar, and will mention it to Murray.

I was invited to Oldham last season by JW Lees to their newly built fans zone. It was a Tuesday night match and they did have a DJ playing music. We could look into introducing on matches where our TV Sports selections are limited. We would need to make sure it is cost-effective and without discouraging supporters.
