Probably a great postponement for us really. We don't have to borrow someone else's ground again and it gives Mani and Whatmuff 2 extra weeks to get back - and Allarakhia should be back too. [Post edited 3 Jan 10:22]

The Southend trust described our efforts to get the two games played as”unacceptable”. Called for the league to hold an inquiry about postponements. Together with a call for decisions on postponements to be made earlier. Living in Southend I wrote to the local paper rebutting their arguments and suggested they sounded like they were arguing for the league to split into Northern and Southern divisions. They really didn’t think things through. Which clubs would want there money being spent on an enquiry about postponements. | | | |
