Has anyone had reason to contact the club using this address?

I sent an email on the day of the Swindon game but only got an automated reply saying they would respond within 14 days as per the club charter. Before anybody tells me to email them again -

a) I shouldn’t have to
b) past experience tells me I’ll get an answer quicker by posting about it on here.

Yes. Made a suggestion a few days before the Swindon home game. Got the auto reply about a 14 day response, which never responded after 14 days. As the suggestion became irrelevant after the Swindon game, there was no need for a reply to be fair. Even so, given the excellent advances the club have made off-field, you'd expect a more timely, pro-active operation from this address.

"And only as far as Casey Pettit......"

Cheers, SM.

I’ll see if what I contacted them about is resolved at tomorrow's game I suppose. If not, I’ll probably not be bringing my kids to games going forward unless it is which is a shame all round.

I may be wrong but I thought this was a fairly newly created role so surely a response with two weeks isn’t too much to ask, especially when the club gets so much right these days as you say.

Can you air on here a indicator of the problem that needs sorting?.

It would be a huge backwards step by the club to not put any concern regarding younger fans front and central in the sort out as a priority stake.

As alluded massive progress in the majority of club opportunities and then this type of thing happens.

We know the club read this board (a good thing).

If what I mailed them about happens again tomorrow then I most likely will as it’s something the club should be concerned about, especially given the e-shot I received this afternoon regarding allocated seating and seeing from Judd’s post on here that they’re going big on it.

My query is also related to ground regulations so they can’t start preaching about one area of them and not showing any regard for others. I’m not one to bash the club usually but don’t send out fan surveys and ask for feedback if you’re going to ignore it. Screams of paying lip service otherwise.

I sent three emails to that address after the Oldham match and to this date, I still haven’t received a reply.

Very poor do. Especially when I’ve just received a feedback survey about tonight containing this…

“ 1.Before we ask you to rate our key match day touch points, is there anything specific you need us to address?

If you require a response or would like to discuss further please email fanservices@rochdaleafc.co.uk”

Like I said - lip service.

I had reason to email the club earlier in the season and I think I used this email address, didn't get a reply and ended up emailing the office. This was eventually replied to but am still awaiting a follow-up

I’ve actually just come on here to ask this very same question. I emailed on 12th September, received the automated reply about my query being answered within 14 days as per the club charter. The 14 days passed and I emailed again. Ruby Loynd replied with an apology and advised she has passed the query on to the relevant people. I’m still awaiting a reply. 39 days is a bit longer than 14.

on another note...

We wand and pat down Doris and Frank for there wurthers originals...

And then hand out hundreds of missiles for (some) idiotic fans to launch onto the pitch..

The U block were an embarrassment last night. I hope there are some banning orders issued.

At least the potential garroting wire was illuminated so you could see if anyone was using it as a weapon or a missile...

Throwing them at players taking a corner is a very bad look for the club.

This sounds exactly like the sort of thing that should be raised with CAB who in turn can raise the problem with the club, get an appropriate answer and ensure the right procedures are put in place to address it

I only hope the referee doesn’t report it.
There’s already a hearing due I believe into the shenanigans at the York game without further issues being reported.

Sadly from the same U block corner.

York.. Now Grimsby.

The safe standing is a privilege... Any more shenanigan's take it away.

Total embarrassment.

This issue was raised at CAB and is covered in the minutes, which were sent out for approval yesterday.

Poll: What is it to be then?

The wire with the small LEDs on it from within one of the glow sticks was thrown on the pitch as a Grimsby player was lining up to take a corner.

You can’t take the bottle top off a bottle off a bottle of water but then hand out items like that to teenagers. I mean they are made from foam and weigh the same as a bottle top no doubt so Dale 4 Life is a little bit OTT but makes a point.

I certainly don’t see death by guillotine off one of those. More just annoying and felt a bit like I was at a Disney on Ice show at the AO Arena.

But, trial and error on the fan experience. On the main the kids loved them… who they were intended for of course.

I was (un)lucky enough to bump into Judd last night and he told me it was covered by them. He’d also said the same via text earlier in the week. People who are paid to keep supporters informed could do a lot worse than learn something from him.

How would you suggest implementing taking it away?
Whilst any behavioural issues need addressing, the U Block safe standing has nothing to do with people acting stupidly and chucking things. If they’re identified, deal with it. Branding the whole area a problem would lead to unnecessary bad feeling with a vital part of the club’s support.

Getting the message out from the club/Dale1907 about how important it is to represent the club properly is different.

On the whole the U block has been a great addition. A few obviously got a bit excited last night and rightly they need educating about how what they did could affect the club. To say rip up the safe standing area is an over reaction.

Agree about the standing area and keeping it, but following the York game, how much more "education" do these young lads need? Or are they willing to listen to?

I partly agree with D4L in that the efforts undertaken by the club to accommodate them risk backfiring, and not at all sure that "education" alone is something they're amenable to

Absolutely look at excluding them for a period, and prior to return, have them undertake some community-focused work at the club to emphasise the destructive nature of their activity
