Both super keepers, both have their own attributes. I dont think Hill has anything against either and will chop and change it now while we have them both. If we lose a few with Logan in net Josh will come back in and vice versa.

Today demonstrated to me why Conrad should be no1

Due to misplaced passes in midfield before we'd scored, Swindon had a couple of fast breaks on goal which Conrad saw early, positioned himself precisely where it made it most difficult for them to score and saved the day. It could have been a different game, otherwise

His command of the area and defenders in front of him is also superior, instilling confidence, whilst his handling of balls into the area is never in doubt

That's not to say I don't rate Lillis - I do, but as I've said elsewhere, whilst Conrad is at the club (and failing any major loss of form) he should keep the jersey

Conrad was a lot more vocal today, and was even heard by many behind the goal in the 2nd half swearing at the defenders to get into position.

Josh for me. Fitter, more agile, shot stopper. Conrad needs to lose 2 stone, he is very vocal and closes down fantastically, his distribution is also very good, but I'd have josh any day.

Keepers tend to benefit from a bit of extra natural padding.

He doesn't even look overweight to me, it's just his natural physique. Are we really saying that Hilly would allow a player to overindulge with food then select him ahead of a keeper who hadn't made any errors recently? That's an insult to Hilly as much as anything (i don't mean you've said that)

If Conrad had a problem with mobility, he wouldn't be getting to the ball on the ground or in the air with such timing and facility. There's plenty of keepers down the ages who've had a similar physique, and it's just lazy thinking to accuse them of being overweight (again, i don't mean you)

Indeed he hasn't but to me he's piling on the pounds - got bitter tits than Linda Lusardi (Google it young 'uns).

I'd like to say it hasn't affected his game- maybe it hasn't but tbh I don't think he's been tested that much so I can't

Made some very quick forward dashes and blocks today, aside from one moment in the FH where he dived to save, erm, nothing and we escaped a tap into an empty net with a last gasp defensive clearance for a corner.

He would have saved Davis penalty too

I think I know where you're coming from 100, and perhaps it's true that if he had a different natural physique, allied to his other skills, he'd have made a top class keeper - premier league standard. But for where he is right now, he's a class above with his physique taken into account.

PS: and don't mention Linda Lusardi, it gets R17 overexcited!

He could weigh 500 pounds if he keeps the ball out.

Which he does blinking effectively.

Looks fresh out of the shower but would have been better advised to use Swarfega to shift R17s pearl necklace?

PS I can't believe how huge Logan is. He's put on a hundredweight since I last saw him. Must have really missed the rag puddings in Wilbutt's chippy and making up for lost time now he's back "home". Not sure how you get a ball past him anymore

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!

He is overweight, no doubt about it. Doesn't stop him from being a good keeper, but losing a bit of Terry would make him better.

Has anyone else noticed how much thinner his right calf is compared to his left? Something to do with that injury probably.

I always feel more confident with Logan, his positional play and distribution are streets ahead of Lillis. Both are good shot stoppers, but Logan commands his defence better, and reads danger better.

Life is a game of fate.

I agree with OD.

Logan for me! Just. Both excellent keepers.

What makes the main difference between the two for me is the way that Logan always seems to have the next move figured out ahead of time once he has possession of the ball. whereas Lillis takes an age to suss out what to do next and nearly always ends up hoofing it out to the right-hand side of the pitch even when Vincenti isn't playing!
The speed and accuracy of distribution from Logan gives the forwards the confidence that if they make a move he will find them.

When defending a corner in the second half, CL was pointing to NML where to run if there was a chance of a breakaway.

He duly caught the corner, two seconds later NML was haring down our right wing.
