Again...

Nothing to fear here.

We are 4 x league two games consecutive without defeat (10 points) Hoping the recent upturn of form and fortune continues on Saturday.

Tranmere 2 points from 12 available in the same 4 game period.

The bookmakers however have Tranmere as warm favourites.

Tranmere win 1/1 Even Money.
Dale win close to 3-1 (27/10 Betfair)

Personally I don't care too much about the result. This is what I call a local game as it's nearer than Spotland.

Will set off early,, and have a beer in the pub next door and give to charity for my parking. Win, win

Handy that Tasker and TAR can probably swap as required, both capable either side. Thought ZSD may start in Smith's place but happy to see Hayes, if he's fit enough for an hour or so.

1st of all it was our throw for their goal and secondly it's clearly a foul throw with only one foot on the floor when throwing !! Referee & Assistants been poor so far...

It was still a cracking goal. More concerning was nobody seemed to move to stop the shot.

We look too pedestrian at times, not moving the ball quickly enough and wrong choices made.

Strange half. They really should be 3 goals ahead. They've missed 2 gilt edged chances whilst we seem happy to overplay from the back and have had more of the possession without doing much. Only Hayes looking lively so far. TAR too happy to go backwards.

We need to press on more and be a bit more adventurous.

"TAR too happy to go backwards."

And/or stand still.

If we sneak anything from this, it can't be said we deserve it. Should be 4 down.

Very good battling away point against a team that were probably better than us (on chances created anyway) on the day. Two very different but quality goals.

He should have had a hat-trick but still a fantastic player to watch.

Will take a point there, they probably should have scored more but we looked a threat too. Need to move the ball quickly to look a good side. The quality at this level remains unimpressive.

Thought he did well when he came on. Gilmour and Tasker were probably our best players although everyone on the pitch seemed averse to passing the ball well at times.

We also seem, at times, incapable of passing the ball a yard in front of a moving player. It's a momentum killer.

Got to be happy with a point there. They bossed us by being direct in the first half and really should have scored a couple more.

Different story after half time when they stopped the press on midfield which allowed Adeko and Gilmour into the game.

Both goals were top quality.

Think the windy conditions played a big part in the poor passing but still an enjoyable game.

Ince will be wondering how he hasn't gone home with the match ball.

WAtching England Women last night against Greece and they were exactly the same.....overhit or underhit and you can see the frustration of the attacking player.

14 runs from 10 deliveries keeps us well on track to stay clear of the drop although a couple of teams have games in hand....

Always the same, we just need to get some more players back from injuries.

But as chaos theory tells us, if they score one of those chances, they may not have created the other three

A solid point which continues our good run of form.

A shame that we looked so poor in the first half but then had our moments in the second half with a much better display, we are now showing that we are more than good enough to hold our own in this division.

The one thing which earned us the point today was Gilmour throwing his body in front of a goal-bound shot late on. It was heroism in my view, although Brown was my MOM.

Yes Brown has everything to be a top top player. He's got strength, speed, touch, and with 3 goals in 4 games he's shown he can finish. I dont know if it's a confidence thing with him but if he can overcome that he can go a long way. Watson mentioned he'd been working on his finishing with some extra sessions with Hendo - its certainly paying off.

Yesterday felt more like a cup game than the previous cup game this season, with the end to end nature of the second half especially.

A point gratefully squirrelled away for winter.

Aside from Ince having a howler, Tranmere numerous times got in behind and crossed only for it never quite falling for them. Really tough day for both fullbacks.

Gilmour block was tremendous, think there was an equally important one by Flint in the first half also.

Poll: DF in or out

I wonder if we are a bit hamstrug in midfield with two of our best passers in East and Pettit not being available? Francis is tidy on the ball, but lacks the mobility to play in a two. He is fine sitting as part of a three with someone else either side, especially if teams let him have the ball without much pressure. Adeeko and Gilmour offer different attributes and probably one of East/Pettit and one of Adeeko/Gilmour provides a better balance if we are playing with two central midfielders and a ten.

Somebody posted about the impact of Henderson. I think we can see that with Brown and it has been mentioned that he is spending time with Hendo after training working on his game. Brown has a lot of physical attributes and works hard and there has been clear improvement with consistent game time. I still think we will bring in another central striker in January, which may see one or two leave.

Off the extended highlights and match interviews.

Did we deserve to get anything out of the game? Yes we probably did. The goal was beautifully crafted and we defended stoutly. However we have had several games now where the result has arguably flattered us. No team can dominate a whole game at this level, but the better chances have fallen to our opponents most of the time. Clearly we are an improved side since the disastrous start to the season, but improvement is still needed. We. don’t have the better of the game on enough occasions at the moment.to me the balance in the middle of the park isn’t right. That’s taking nothing away from Adeeko and Gilmour who has now got to grips with this level. I don’t have the tactical nous to suggest what needs to change but I hope it is the point of focus for Watson.

The saying you know where you stand after ten games is a truism for me, so notwithstanding the need to improve further we are doing alright.

The BBC interviewer after the match was a joy to listen to and bought out a good interview from Watson
