Got to say I much prefer it the other way round with Rose at fullback. We just don't have half the attacking threat we scored so many goals from currently. The Rose/Henderson combination was working a dream and although Done has done very well in his LB role I would much prefer to see us revert back to this.

Hendo is MUCH more effective when coming from wide as opposed to central. I'd like to see JK slot into a central 3 with Cav and Lund, with Vincenti wide right and Hogan up top.

Although JK played holding role for us previously. He was very much an attacking midfielder prior to joining. Cav as the anchor could really provide an exciting advanced midfield with Lund and JK breaking from deep to support Hogan.

I wasn't there yesterday nor at Chesterfield but our results since Done's switch to left-back (Rose didn't start v Leeds or Chesterfield)

Beat a Championship side 2-0
Comfortably won against two midtable League Two sides 3-0
Picked up a very credible draw versus fellow title challengers
Ran another Championship side close by all accounts.

Rose has also hit the net twice in these games.

Hogan cannot play the lone striker role. He's struggled there time and again in my opinion. Whilst he's improving there, it's clear to see that he's better running from deep.

Much happier with the current set up. Means when Rose has the ball under pressure he can swing in a cross from deep rather than float that aimless ball over the top and out for a goal kick. Much prefer Rose in midfield personally

Although we've ground out results we haven't seen the flowing football. Rose just isn't mobile enough in that midfield position. We are a much better attacking threat even when Bunney is there. Rose/Done competing for left back is fine. But I'd rather have Done/Hendo/Bunney left wing.

What you're missing though, is the runs that Done makes from deep to get himself in scoring positions, like yesterday. It's something the opposition can't plan for, and having Rose able to cover for him makes it possible.

Plus, Hilly's worked out that Done's extra pace gives him a distinct advantage when tracking a right-winger; Rose has struggled in that department. On the other hand, he's scoring goals!

Keep it as it is; it's got inbuilt flexibility.

Poll: What are you planning to do v Newport

Some of our delivery from the back was far from spectacular yesterday.......McArdlesque.

Martinez had the pick of some poor distribution, and proceeded to waste loads of time.

Was unsure at first on this. In the first half at Hartlepool, Rose wasn't in the game at all. It is growing on me though. They seem to have settled into it and they work well in tandem. Done still needs to work on his positioning but I'm sure Hilly is drilling that into him.

I'd have Rose back at left back on Tuesday. Hendo on the left, with Hogan behind Cummins in the middle. Vincenti on the right.

Possession with progression.

Agree with that and the earlier point that Hendo is much more effective out wide.

Bouncebackability required tomorrow night.

Has it's pros and cons for me.

The most telling thing I can say about this current positional switch is away at Chesterfield.

Have a look at the two Chesterfield goals. Both of them from attacks down the Chesterfield right, Done totally caught out of position for both and cost us a goal on each occasion.

I'd put Rose back at LB and move Done forward when Hogan leaves.

Rose is poor as a left back , he really cant tackle. Superb shot going forward and should be made to get more crosses in to be utilised as best but I don't like him as a left back I think we have got away lightly a few times this season when under the cosh and our centre halves have had to deal with a lot of crossed balls that should of been blocked.
