Can’t see that having anything to do with the end the penalty’s were taken.
It is all sorted via toss of a coin otherwise Doncaster would be appealing and kicking up a right fuss.

Agree with your last point, I’ve developed a soft spot for Charlton since that match. Also, I can’t stand Doncaster and Portsmouth for the way their teams behaved at Spotland this season, and Sunderland is still a great venue to visit, so up the Addicks! |  | | |

Didn't think that a toss of coin played any part in the decision to have the shootout at the Charlton end think it had already been decided that would be in the case in the event of penalties being required as the commentators stated that would be the case before the Doncaster player showed his displeasure during the coin toss to decide which team would take the first penalty.
