I think Savage has been involved at Woodley/Stockport Town for a few years now. He played a cameo for them last season. Makes more sense to invest time and money into Macc as obviously more potential there. Good luck to them.

The new Macc owner also owns Stockport Town. I'd be surprised that they would want to run 2 clubs. Assuming it is allowed in the lower tiers

Expect the greater involvement of Savage with Macc will curtail his appearances on the Saturday afternoon BT Sport panel, leaving it in the hands of what otherwise will appear as not much better than cardboard cutouts. Without him, there will be little humour to counter the moaning of Chris Sutton

Maybe they should place an actual cardboard cutout of him in his usual chair to provide some entertainment

Good luck to him with Macc, it'll be interesting to follow their progress against the likes of Bury AFC
