Same here. No love at all for Liverpool.

But he seemed infinitely more likeable than Benitez or Klopp, both of whom I can't stand.

Was handed a mess at Anfield too post Souness if I remember rightly.

Roy Evans had been managing that very entertaining mid-90s side (which beat us 7-0 at Anfield) before Houllier was brought in as 'joint manager' and Evans left shortly after.

Do miss a good joint-manager experiment. The only one I can recall in recent years is Abdallah Lemsagam joint-managing with whomever is currently masquerading as Oldham manager.
