I believe the decision to part company with Humes, especially after what he said Tuesday, was inevitable and correct. I remain to be convinced, however, that another internal appointment is in the best interests of first team results. Presumably Mr Cowling believes that continuity is best and the club's preferred system of play, hardly a runaway success under Humes, must be maintained.

In a weird way, Mr. Cowling listened to the fans, their displeasure.
I truly believed TH would be given till after Boxing Day. A defeat to the Shrimpers would have caused a riot.
Applause to the decision, but Humes couldn't play 11 positions on the pitch. Some players need to look themselves in the mirror and step up their game. |  |
