that is really sad, there was a clip on tv a couple of weeks ago showing his wife carrying him around like a rag doll....must have been hell for her, but when its someone you love, dignity goes out the window.

couple of years ago working in kensington, a polish scaffolding firm working in phillimore gardens, wearing t-shirts with scaffold poles printed on the back......nice touch. |

all them pubs you've named there i love....except not too keen on the andover.
askew on match days is superb albeit the change over to plastic season just gone.
love the guiness in the raven...and even dropped the prices just after covid.
the duchess does good food and all the drinks have become craft ales, nice relaxing boozer with a good food area.
the crown and sceptre i loved a few years ago when gerry ran it...rip.
has become too expensive...but the thai food is quality.
the thatched never seems to change.
and the pow has had more names than brightons ground. |

i was a regular in the 70's and early 80's...
and for the last 12 years its been my local...
i remember the filming in there of the ritchie and mcConaughey film as well.
always had a soft spot for the pub even though its chalk and cheese from those days in the 70's and now. |

just an out of season bit of fun.....
are you blessed with a diamond of a boozer...great food, cheap drink, great atmosphere, country pub...that makes you a regular.
or tarnished with an absolute shitehole....that you never go near, unless its the only one for miles.
mine is the princess vic, uxbridge road, food a la carte, local for match days,
happy hour monday to friday , two for one...morretti the favourite, cant think what the other two are though.......5pm to 7pm.
prices are top end of the average pub.

teams in europe should all play each other in the first round, that means half of them get knocked out, and they have'nt got to worry about the league cup, they can concentrate on europe.
the remaining lot can play each other in the second round, until eventually there's one left.
they can do what they like then.....who cares anyway. |

who's been over charged on their credit/debit card...
whether its been something minor, like in a cafe or pub, or something bigger like in a store or even £000's, not going into detail....
if you've only noticed weeks or months later, how do yo get your money back when you've got no receipt. |
