Most ignore red lights. I have seen a number of incidents local to me where pedestrians have been hit by these idiots. At least delivery mopeds still obey traffic lights.
Some of the stuff on this thread is unbelievable, using words like contempt.
For once we were the big spenders in the Championship and it got us over the line with a once in a lifetime experience at Wembley and people still moan. EVERY year there are teams who spend big and fail so what we achieved that season was not as easy or a foregone conclusion as some think and the team deserve all the credit for getting promoted. What happened the following season should not detract from that.
The Final had all Three Stooges working together: Gary Weaver commentating and both Goodman and Hinchcliffe on as co-commentators. All three appalling as usual. Weaver must’ve been gutted he couldn’t shout hysterically along the lines of ‘Leeds have planted their flag in the Wembley turf and WON’T be stopped from taking their rightful place back amongst the elite!’ He did mention what a miracle job both managers had done taking over such ‘damaged’ clubs and getting them to the play offs though…..
That was a good performance by Utd, nullified City for most of the game. Delighted it knocks Chelsea down into the minor Euro competition and also no Europe for Newcastle at all.
The Killers’ first two albums were alright. I also enjoyed their Wembley Stadium concert some years back: it was refreshing to see a band who were delighted and honoured to be there and gave it everything they had. They’d even written a new song to play there about playing at Wembley Stadium. Subsequent albums tailed off though.
Well we are his seventh club he’s managed, longest he’s ever stayed anywhere is a couple of years and most league games he’s done for a club is 81. He’s on an upward trajectory at the moment: think we will get next season from him and if it’s a decent one he will move on, just as he did when we nabbed him from Hammarby.
I would think loads if not most of the mob outside had no idea there were 20000+ ‘empty’ seats inside. Most probably thought it would be a big old street drinking party on Wembley Way with a ‘mental’ atmosphere and I bet plenty expected it to have big screens up to watch the game. A relatively small minority turned up with the specific aim of getting into the ground but once these people started their assault and had some visible success then the mob and herd mentality kicked in and thousands joined in.
