I remember a few years ago, there was some talk about making rugby, in effect, non-contact for kids upto the age of 15/16, meaning that they would not learn how to tackle properly.
This would then be taught to 15/16 year olds, some of whom could be 14/15 stone. Much safer to learn the technique when players are younger and smaller.
Breitenreiter is fiercely critical of last summer's pre-season under Warnock, which he believes has left the squad not sharp enough for the rigours of a 46-game Championship campaign.
"I heard about the really poor pre-season where players trained once a day and the focus was on playing golf and maybe staying in the pub. This never leads to success. They did not train enough to be able to play over 90 minutes - this is what I heard from many, many people around the club."
If we lose to Leeds on Friday, Saturday afternoon could be very stressful watching the other score updates and trying to work out if we are safe or not!
