Wallace urged to sign a Pompey deal Wednesday, 12th Feb 2014 22:30 by pompey-fans.com staff Pompey remain hopeful Jed Wallace will stay with them beyond the end of this season. The 19-year-old has been the subject of constant speculation about a move to a higher-placed club since bursting into Pompey's first team just over a year ago. He has made 51 appearances for the Blues and Richie Barker has expressed his keenness to hold contract talks with Wallace soon. Pompey were delighted when the January window closed without the midfielder having moved on. A source at the club said: 'Our position on Jed is unchanged. We still hope he will sign a deal here.' What is Pompey's problem on the pitch? Inconsistency? A squad that's simply not good enough? Complacency? Or something else? Discuss it on the forum.
