Hollands responds to Pompey's warning Shots

A late Danny Hollands goal saved Pompey from FA Cup embarrassment as they blew a 1-0 lead then came from behind to claim a first round replay against Aldershot.

Paul Robinson received a late red card and in the end the Blues will have been relieved to get another chance against the Vanarama premier team - even if a home win had been the expected result beforehand.

Pompey took the lead on 16 minutes when Jed Wallace slotted in from the spot after Glenn Wilson had fouled Craig Westcarr.

Jordan Roberts levelled it up before the break, coverting Dan Holman's cross with Pompey's defence slow to react to the danger.

Mark Molesley put the Shots in front on 67 minutes, converting a cross after Pompey gave away possession cheaply.

The large band of travelling fans thought they were going to cause one of the shocks of the round but Hollands rescued Pompey with his second goal in as many games, heading in after Ricky Holmes provided the ball into the danger area.

Robinson was sent off for a second yellow card - meaning his ban should be only one game - late on but there were no more scares for Pompey and it's off to the Recreation Ground for a replay in a week and a bit.
