More Fratton departures - when do arrivals begin?
More Fratton departures - when do arrivals begin?

Miles Storey and Matt Fish are the latest loan departures from Pompey - following Alex Wynter and Lee Holmes through the exit door.

Fish's move is no real surprise given Adam Webster's return to fitness which saw him reclaim the right-back spot at Christmas, but Storey's switch back to Swindon has been questioned by a number of fans who felt he was one o Pompey's brightest prospects in attack.

Storey, 20, scored three goals in 22 appearances for Pompey while full-back Fish, who is 25, played just three time.

Blues boss Andy Awford told the Pompey website: 'We wish both players well back at their parent clubs and thank them for their efforts with us.'

Fans are now waiting to see which players arrive at Fratton during January - with a goalscorer seemingly the No1 priorty, along with a deal to keep Paul Robinson at the club.

Mreanwhile Ryan Taylor, scorer of the equaliser at Luton, has insisted the players are all behind Andy Awford and are giving no thought to talk of his future being uncertain.

The striker told The News: 'These days, managers are under so much pressure and don’t get the time they need. A few bad results go against them and everyone is looking at them straight away.

‘We are definitely playing for him. I think that performance at Luton shows that we are still playing for him. We are giving everything. The manager has been brilliant with us and we will continue to work as hard as we can for him and the club.'
