Martin Allen brings Barnet to Fratton Park on Saturday insisting Pompey are the Manchester City or Chelsea of their division.

The former Pompey midfielder and coach said in his Daily Mail / Mailonline column: 'On Saturday, we make the trip to Portsmouth to play the Manchester City or Chelsea of League Two.

'They have picked up the best players from everywhere, paid out comparatively big bucks and have an amazing following.

'On away days, the team travel two nights before the game. This Saturday morning, at half past 11, you will find the Barnet team at the M3 services, stopped on the way for our pre-match meal.

'The chef from the club’s health club restaurant puts together spaghetti bolognese and cottage pie in tiny takeaway trays. Or the players can have cereal or beans on toast that I buy earlier that morning from Morrisons. No private jets for us.'
