Keeper David Forde has told how much he is enjoying life at Pompey - but says it's early days for him and the team's promotion bid.

After keeping a clean sheet to help the Blues to a 1-0 victory at Cambridge, Forde told The News: 'I’m totally enjoying my time at the moment. It’s an amazing football club.

‘The facilities are top class and the fans are great. I couldn’t wish for anything better. All I’m thinking of is repaying that faith shown in me, being successful this year and getting the club back to where they want to be — and where it should be.

‘It’s still relatively early in the grand scheme of things. ‘But I’m just thankful being part of Portsmouth Football Club.

‘It’s still early days and I’m finding my feet. ‘I’m relatively happy with how things are going, but there’s still more to come.’

Forde, 36, is on a year-long loan from Millwall but has not spoken about what could happen when that arrangement comes to an end.
