Mush, you use "stupid" a lot, that's no way to win an argument and unless you are an establishment stooge or complete corruption denier everyone believes in conspiracy to a greater or lesser extent. Hope you have a better day today. Lots of love xx
A lot of conspiracy in your last statement 901 and absolutely right of course. Football is a microcosm of the real world where the Elites screw over the rest of us.
Haha, I turn my back for 5 minutes and a sub thread has started around a misspelt Latin phrase. The ability to laugh into any given situation is one I fully concur with even when the hopes and fears of the West are allegedly resting on a senile octogenarian! Anyone seen Compo?
Oh Heisey, you and your "far right" obsession. As someone said "Politics is show business for ugly people". Trump bad, Biden good? Labour good, Tory bad ? Do me a favour. Do you honestly think these jokers would even be allowed to have any real power? Biden, poor chap is not even compos Mentos, yet alone leading the so called free world!
Laughing Boy are you still in denial about geo engineering, even after the BBC covered cloud seeding in Dubai. Did you miss that tweak to your programming? Come on 73, do keep up!
St Ripper was always going to frighten the horses when he mentioned the EMF hat, because many on here are herd animals and happy to be led by the establishment. Herd animals don't need to think, they just follow where the others go, being lead by a pied piper they can't even see. They aren't subject to derision because they are in the middle of the herd doing what the others are doing, except of course when there is a collective madness like we saw in the Covid Pantomime, ie wearing your £1.99 mask from B & Q to stop a killer virus, but only when standing up or not following the arrows on the supermarket floor.
Some of the mockers need to look in the mirror tbh.
Yes, I had a little thought for JWP, as it turned out, definitely the wrong move - to see the unbridled joy in Jack Stephens lifting the trophy, that could/should have been his moment.
Ha, maybe it's the Christian in me, but I can't seem to leave my fellow Saints fans to the mercy of the perpetrators of evil and whatever is their next planned Black Swan event.
It’s interesting that most people here are completely disaffected by domestic politics and yet still seem resigned to voting for one of the two parties that are offered to us by the regime.
Starmer will obviously get in, because that has always been the plan, but it does prove once again how easy it is for the populous to be manipulated.
Blue and Red both do the bidding of the globalists - WHO, WEF, UN etc. It makes no difference which of these jokers are in power.
If we want actual change we have to think more radically, any one up for a revolution?!
"Lunatic conspiracy theorist" - you really don't like that ilk do you Heisy?
Andrew Bridgen may be a bad actor, it's certainly a strange decision to join a fake party lead by a literal actor, but his alleged conspiracy is what? That he is vaccine harmed and the covid jabs were not safe or effective and the drug companies should be held to account? The fact that Astrazeneca have withdrawn their jab drug worldwide recently suggests that he may be on to something....
I think a lot of them would agree with me Grumpy. UK politics has descended in to the abyss - where are the statesmen on either side, where are the conviction politicians? We are left with a rabble uniparty that immiserate the masses and look after themselves and their friends.
I was until recently minded not to vote at all, as in "if it mattered they wouldn't let you vote", but spoiling your ballot paper is one way to show your contempt for what is on offer while broadly still supporting a democratic system, so think this the best option open to me or an independent.
Agreed. It really is a case of which corrupt self seeking part of the cartel do you want to vote for. I am not prepared to endorse any of them. It is independent candidates or spoiling my ballot paper for me, if a significant number of people did this, we might stand a chance of bringing some change.
I suppose we could stop with the masquerade of actually playing games and just enter the financial balance sheets instead and do the league tables based on that - it may save a lot of time and anguish!
Teams like Saints are in a cleft stick then, destined to be cannon fodder to the Elite teams with unending financial backers if they gain promotion or kept in the containment tank where they can enjoy their football, but with diminishing funds if they don't get promotion meaning they may become a second rate Championship team or worse. Possibly being a yoyo team is the best we can hope for with one bad season, one good season ad infinitum.
Thinking this is a rhetorical question, but yes of course we complain too much.
At the start of the season it was obvious to most that Leicester would storm this league and Leeds would be close behind - this was not rocket science and has proved true. That would leave Saints fighting it out for a play off position at best, which in fact we did rather comfortably.
Others - including our respected friend Pat from Poole predicted much worse - 17th in Pat's case if we use that as a measure we have over achieved.
What tends to happen is that expectations are driven up by a run of good form and then we feel let down when that form ends or becomes patchy, but the reality is that Saints have been good value for 4th position.
The gauge of success in most people's eyes depends on the last three matches. I tend to share the pessimism of most on here in thinking we will not have enough about us to make it, but am very happy to be proved wrong (and become cannon fodder for the Elite clubs next year). Either way, this season should be considered a good one, where we actually won a lot of matches and amassed a lot of points.
