No, for the love of god please NO! For everyone's critique on Thomas - Roberts for me would be a more expensive version.
Obviously based in Cardiff and being Welsh i watch him alot when he plays for Wales and he is a great athlete but i don't see a footballer. As an attacker he rarely gets goals or assists.
Admittedly he is pacey and has a good engine but no end product. In one of our Wales games he got put through in a one on one situation with the keeper and fired straight at him. We all had our head in our hands - it was easier to score than miss....

Not hugely impressive is it but he's young, new coach, something to prove, so who knows. Only £4m if we actually go up and want to buy him, so not tied to that part at least if it doesn't work out. |  |

General consensus is positive, IMO.
Works hard first and foremost ✅ï¸
Available because he's deemed not ready for PL, rather than because he's shit/injured/a bellend ✅ï¸
Can play across the top - so cover for 9 & Chair/Willock ✅ï¸
Good age so lots of improvement still ✅ï¸
23 and 150 odd league appearances already (Sean Goss could never) ✅ï¸
Wont expect to automatically play ahead of our own ✅ï¸
If unthinkable promotion happens and he does great, we can make him our own ✅ï¸
It doesn't solve the goals issue necessarily, but you never know... Overall, with loans the only legit option for us, this seems to tick a lot of boxes. Good to get him in before Germany too [Post edited 6 Jul 2022 23:27]
