Before the board gets completely taken over by negativity (and I can think of a lot of negatives in amongst the elation today), i wanted to say what a fantastic first game back from fer that was. Fantastic control, went in for challenges, scored and really looked class....now just stay fit!

Man of the match after jet for me.

Agree, physically has more of a presence than Luongo and don't get me wrong I like Luongo but there is more to Fer. Hopefully stays fit.

A mention to Sandro as well as I thought he did well when he came on.

Smells like a trout farm in here

Fer would walk into any team in the championship so played in his rightful position is a massive player for us.
He'll score loads of goals in this division,if we can just learn to defend we should easily make the play offs, big IF.

Feisty Fer. Had men on him all the time, plus men manhandling him and was still coming away with the ball.

He was excellent and we fell apart after he came off

unless he was tired was the wrong man to get hooked IMO.
Sandro for henry looked a better change to me

He appeared to be signalling to the bench about 10 minutes before he came off.

Have liked Fer from day two (after Tottenham), not easy to get off the ball and can go by players. We have been a bit lightweight, something you can't afford in this Division, so be good to have likes of Fer, Sandro, JET putting it about where necessary.

A man who divides opinion.

He certainly had few defenders back in January...

Fer wanted by Napoli

I think we'll just have to wait and see how he gets on at this level (and hope he doesn't get injured). I'm sure he would rather not be playing at this level, but as long as he can put that aside and get on with it, then we should have a good player.

His first start back after a medial ligament injury, of course he should've been subbed.

The problem was who we left out there.

Top class player, and was so frustrating to see him played out of position in most games last year and waste his talent. Huge player, who I hope we can keep but fear in January he will be gone

...he's a jolly good fellow.

And so say all of us.

Presuming Charlie is out for a few more games it would make sense to play...

Sandro - Holding MF
Fer - Attacking MF
JET - Centre forward
Chery - Off JET's shoulder in the free roaming role

That combination in the middle and up front would score a lot of goals.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?
