Away Kit - WISHLIST 2024/25 Season
at 13:22 28 Apr 2024

I liked the silver and black version. I should have bought that one.
I did not like this year's home kit as I am not a fan of the red badge.

I will buy the away shirt for this season as I thought it was a very good Dennis the Menace kit for a change. Do we know if they go on sale and when?

Great question ...

Hodge to see if we should sign him and Hayden is there to support the others who have come in and also to give Colback and Field a rest. Well with Colback its more to prevent him getting sent off and missing the first 3 games of next season.

Most Important Goal of the Season
at 22:31 27 Apr 2024

Dozy's goal should be the goal of the season.
It's amazing, and Dieng is stranded, and he meant it.
But as we now know thats all he did.

The most important goal is Paal's knee in against Hudders. If they win that, they go 6 points clear, and Moore keeps his job. They didn't, and he was sacked, which was a massive mistake. Too many draws, the owner said, but the reason was they had too many injuries, and he was just about holding it together. Without him and that we were only 3 pts off meant disaster for them.

Almost as poor a sacking as Eustace for Brum.
Will they get away with it, or will it be like Hudders a suicide moment?

That should be against the law, as currently it's impossible.

Marti has changed his game tactically.

Before he was 10 yards higher up the pitch, this gave him the opportunity to score the odd goal. However, it allows the oppo to drop balls in between the midfield and defence, which means they can get out of any press we are trying to do.

We saw this in the first 20 minutes against Millwall at home. Then Marti instructed Colback to drop 10 yards, which he did, and that was the end of Millwall's attacks.

On his return from injury, it had to be instructed out of him again for a few games. Now he's on message with Marti, and we see that the oppo struggles to get through us, and we can hit them on breakaways, which was the first goal and somewhat the second.

So, Marti's management is the reason Colback's game tactics and overall performance has improved. He also showed a master class of it against Rotherham. It is similar to Barry Bannan's positioning and approach, but not quite as good as Bannan's passing, but better than Bannan's on the tackling and getting up and down the pitch side of the game.

Who do we want to get relegated?
at 13:38 27 Apr 2024

On the bench? You assume he won't get one of those mysterious hamstring injuries then?

Dozy will probably get a freebie into Pompy somehow. After all when he played for Brum they won games and did you not see his goal of the season against Boro?

I think Dom Ball is out of contract this season. It's a shame as I was hoping to see him smash into Erikson in the Prem.

Brum it has to be.
Just to show stupid owners what happens when you go for the famous manager over the manager who is delivering for you. Brum senior management now even admits they should not have sacked Eustice.

We can all laugh at Roberts and Laird. Arrogant those two and now will be playing L1 football, instead of Prem which is where they think they should be.

Not forgetting Sanderson, the CD, who cannot win headers. And we get to see the back of Hogan who is one of those players who likes to score against us.

Bacuna looked decent from them, hopefully he moves on. Stansfield who is on loan would be a great replacement for Willock and years younger. Will be cheaper from Fulham as he was in a relegated side.

At the end of every season its the same old same old ...

We should play the best team to get momentum into next year. Well, in the last two seasons, this momentum never happened anyway, so we should not. Especially as this squad will be ripped up anyway.

What we should do is play some of the young uns so we see how they can cope and also rest some of our assets so they don't get injured just before we sell them. Disaster memories of poor Rangel getting injured before he became out of contract. It would be very QPR to see our best players get ACLs in a nothing game at the end of the season.
No thanks, no way.

Therefore in my biased view we should play this team ...

Walsh

Drewe*
Dunne**
Fox
Larkeche

Hayden***
Hodge
EDB

Willock****
Armstrong
Pedder

Subs:
Begović
Cook
Cannon*****
Aoraha
Bala
Adomah******
Dykes

* = We know Kakays off, I suspect Drewe is not good enough. Lets find out if that is the case.
** = Can he still play CD? I think so, let's find out.
*** = Can he lead when the others are not there and he's on his own? Good test this.
**** = Might as well say goodbye and safety first by resting Chair who needs it.
***** = We know what he can do, and he may be carrying an injury, sub still him for now.
****** = Come on for the last 20 mins so, we can say goodbye.

Leave the rest to go early hols; they earned it.

Player of the season

Cookie Monster!
Proper leader in the mould of Macca.
He's been rock solid and scored a few when needed, as well.

The stats are all great; stats aside, he looks in command of the defence. He also gives Asmir a rollicking when he screws up and the midfield if they are not available. Drives the team forward.

Also, when interviewed, never talks twaddle. Says it straight.

But I think it should go to Dykes so that many stupid internet articles can be written on how we rave about Dykes, and then we can sell him a quick start!

Palace put price tag on Eze
at 02:05 26 Apr 2024

If Pep can offload Grealish to someone like the scum he will be after Eze.

Of course, Stupid Southgash will take Grealish to the Euros and leave Eze behind.

This is the manager who put Mount, who cannot get into a lame Manure side ahead of Foden, Maddison, Gallagher, Rashford, Watkins, Gordon and Bowen.

Don't forget his selection of Phillips and Henderson sometimes ahead of Rice and Bellingham.
Told poor Saka, a kid at the time, to a penalty in the Euro finals.

If we didn't have world-class players like Kane and Bellingham, he would have been sacked by now.

Championship Predictor - final table
at 00:11 25 Apr 2024

Dull winning tonight was helpful for us.

This means WBA must win against Sheff Wed to ensure they make the playoffs.
So, they won't be on the beach or putting out the reserves for that one.

If they beat Sheff Wed, we will essentially stay up on GD.

The Yank's approach is to buy up all the young talent early, get them locked down on long-term contracts and then they believe in 3 years; they will sweep up all the trophies. Then sell one or two in season 4, which they don't want, to Real Madrid and Manure and rinse and repeat.

Of course, we know that's fantasy. As there is no way anyone could know who will develop to the level that will win things. For every freebie Foden that comes out of the academy, there is a £100m Grealish to buy.

They will be lumbered with these players for years to come. Players that thought they would be playing in Europe, winning things and challenging for the top of the table. Not being booed every week by their own fans and having to play in the early rounds of the League Cup.

The agent across Europe will be pinging over their next set of "wonderkids" to Chelsea right now.
"only 19 and already the best in Lichteinstien, buy now before Madrid do!"

The real fun is this summer's transfer window. Will the scum make the same mistake again and again? If they do, then they could go bankrupt. Remember they have a possible points deduction or relegation on the horizon due to FFP.
Send in the bulldozers so, the creditors can get their money back from the land sale :)

Dion Sanderson
at 10:42 24 Apr 2024

He was lauded around by Wolves as if he was of Cook defender standard, but really a very poor CD. Not even that good in the air.

He is one of the many reasons Brum have been so poor this season. Let's not forget that waster Roberts is there too, being injured and not even scoring any goals. Laird as well, who was also injured and it seems he's been eating at JETs fast food places.

Wolves must have known about Sanderson as he never played any games for them, yet they hawked him around the Champ clubs on loan and then finally flogged him to Brum.

Eustace is good manager to get that lot to 7th, no one else could. But yet he should not have signed them in the first place. Real puzzler that one. I suspect these were forced upon him.

St George’s Day
at 15:27 23 Apr 2024

I am not religious at all. But if the other home nations can get a day off work, we, the English, should also.

I know that's woke of me to want to take some time off to celebrate being English, and I appreciate that many of you are capitalists who wish people to work for the ever-depreciating market rate while inflation burns them on the other end.

I respect that you won't be hypocrites and make an exception for St George's Day and pretend that it's all different and not woke just because it's St George's Day.

Pep has been dropping Grealish a lot for a £100m player. He's not fast enough on the transition for Pep.

Useful for unlocking stubborn defences that hang back against the smaller clubs. But for the Real Madrid types, he wants a faster, more direct football on the breakaways to punish the oppo. Grealish slows the game down too much.

Whereas Eze speeds it up by dribbling forwards a lot and playing 1-2's as quickly as possible.

Let's hope they flog them quickly before his stock wanes. A cheeky bid from Manure would help force Peps hand.

That is a good point, and that is more likely if Hull beats Cov this week.
As then WBA will need the points to ensure a playoff position as Dull will only be 3 pts behind then.

So, we need a Dull win this week to put the pressure on.

Next season - 4 key players for us to keep
at 10:26 22 Apr 2024

All guesswork but ...

If JCS gets a long-term injury again, then his stock value will go down, and I think after next season, he has one season left. No, we need to sell him now if the money is north of £5m.

Selling Paal is also a good idea, as others rate him, and he seems to have lost form.
We need to cash in on him now, if we get anything over £2m then that's a great deal.

Hopefully, Chair's conviction will be appealed, and that goes away as he needs to be sold.

Willock will go to someone like Hull. Smart young manager who has to send his expensive Prem loans back, so he needs a freebie and is looking to get promoted. Also, they will pay some of the big money signing fees and wages for him. Or he will go even better and be at Burnley. I would be really surprised if he stays. Willock can do a Manning and get into a relegated Prem club with a chance of breaking into the team and getting into the Prem finally.

Hopefully, Pep buys Eze; we can then use all those funds to rebuild the young side of the squad and get a proper forward in for Dykes, who also needs to go, probably at a loss like Dickie. Getting Asmir's wages off the books will be great as well.

Remember, we are on Sky, and we already have our token win on Sky against PNE.

Huddersfield needs to beat Brum, and then we will be safe on the massive GD we have against Hudders.
That is the key game we watch this weekend after getting beat 2-0 by the Sky Curse.
