One goodish thing about being in the PL is that there is lots of media chat about our team, but has any manager been given such an easy ride. Even the sage Gary Neville at the West Ham game did not know that we had bored our way out of the Championship. If he had watched our games he would have known we were dull , slow and predictable.
Last week on Sunday Supplement they talked about Ferdinands book - ok they can do that , but not a mention of his Ernie Howe ( on a bad day) defending. Today Paul Merson was telling us how Arry likes to play. Since he has been with us , there has been zero entertainment , the football is dull and boring.
A few headlines about his future , but no analysis of what he is doing .
I think the fans have waited for the attacking football patiently, but two years on we are back where he started.
Previous managers have been treated far harsher.
Problem is new manager means new players . The club is just a revolving door , but one thing we do know is that no player ever improves.
In all jobs you judge people on what they achieve.
