I'd put that day on the agenda. There were some rubbish options in Doncaster's kit vote, again illustrating that letting fans vote isn't the definition of actually consulting them. That away kit is great though, a Malcolm Allison- inspired effort that Man City had once.

2014/15 - new kits from around the league on 19:21 - May 14 with 2767 views | 442Dale | Liverpool's away kit confirmed. Brendan Rodgers needs a good kit education: "We're looking to build a new era, while remembering this club's great history, including the FA Cup final in 2001 - and this shirt is one the fans and the players will respond to," said Rodgers. The shirt is similar to away kits of the 80s but nowt like the one when they beat Arsenal with that Owen wonder goal. Darker yellow and combined with navy blue.

2014/15 - new kits from around the league on 19:50 - Jun 27 with 2469 views | 442Dale | And then we come to this quite horrendous effort from over the Pennines. There is no way they can blame Hill for such a monstrosity, he'd have not had a team turning out in a shirt which appears to have in-built captain's armbands for EVERY player. Easily the worst I've seen so far.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some tinpot thinking behind it where "I want every player to be a captain out there" gets mentioned by Wilson.

It's an absolute abomination, which is exactly what I've told the club, to no response. I don't buy kits anymore, not had one since 2005, but I was going to purchase one this year to take on my holidays. I'd heard we were in the last of our four year contract with Nike, which means the final year you get one of their underlings producing the kit (Avec, Prostar) and I saw that as a good thing. Instead of getting a boring Nike template in red I thought we'd get a unique top, something a bit different. I would have loved the Avec design that Doncaster have got for their away shirt, but obviously in red, with the two thin sashes in white and black. Not unique of course, but a blinding shirt in my opinion. But instead, we get that. I mean, what the fúck is it suppose to be? Why only one armband, surely with a bit of symmetry it'd look better? And the thing that ruins it the most is that bloody white rectangle thing under the neck. It's called a 'placket' apparently. I'd call it a mess, personally. The overwhelming feeling amongst the supporters is one of anger and disappointment. At £44 (dearer than the Nike efforts) as well, they're having a laugh. It's at times like this you would love to know which complete bellend selected the kit. I'd love to go round to their house and decorate it appropriately. So as you can tell, I'm not happy. I've had folk saying it doesn't matter, so long as it's red and the lads are winning in it etc etc etc... but it's a revenue stream remember, and you'd have to be pretty bloody daft (or blind) to want to buy that monstrosity.

Good kits are vital. Dale have done pretty well this season after last year's woeful efforts (six shirts in a vote that were all pretty rubbish), we've definitely benefited from better templates being available through JD. Maybe it's a Yorkshire thing because this Huddersfield kit is almost as bad. Broken stripes that fade in their colours is such a complex combination, that they might as well have chucked an armband of increased power in too.

It's an Adidas template. Most of their kits have it, presumably for competition logo patches to go on. Why they can't go over the stripes, I don't know. And I know it was a typo, but don't call Forest shit. They've conquered an entire continent.
