That's sad news.
Read about her plight just a couple of weeks ago, and she'd taken the decision not to continue with further treatment so she could spend some quality time with her loved ones, instead of dragging out the terrible effects of therapy with little hope of remission.
Was hoping to see Christmas through, as you say.

Sad news indeed.
That'll make Wednesday's episode of Loose Women a bit more emotional. She pre-recorded a special edition where she says goodbye to the other panellists and, as far as I can tell, it's still going ahead.
