Rosetta 14:20 - Nov 12 with 2766 viewsD_Alien

After 10 years spent travelling 4 billion miles, space probe Rosetta has released the landing craft Philae to descend onto a comet 300 million miles away. Due to touch down around 4pm, with confirmation around half an hour later if all the potential hazards have been avoided.

Probably the biggest event in space exploration since the moon landings 45 years ago, and a lot of the technical development was done in the UK.

Anyone else keeping track of this?

I thought 67P was quite apt - cheap at the price

Last picture beamed back to earth shows strange flashing lights followed by dust clouds - it'll be the ambulance chasers

No doubt covered in goosebumbs? They'll need an ambulance for that!

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!
