We are back to not giving referees decisions to make. It's easy to say without the benefit of not having seen it, but we can't have it both ways on discipline. Sort ourselves, then worry about refs*

On the one hand, it was good to see him wading into the fray against bury - showed he's got some spirit and not afraid of a physical confrontation; but unless he was given a talking to about it he may have come to believe he can get away with it. The learning curve continues, but it's a big blow just when he'd gained some real confidence. |  |

Exactly. And that's happened far too much this season.
What really irritates about the cards we receive is the amount that are avoidable and pointless. It's not totally losing the plot like some teams do, but it's still the same end result - a card that could lead to a suspension. | |
