If the rough figures are

1M initial fee paid to us
30% sell on clause on profit then

10M = 2.7M to Dale
15M = 4.2M to Dale

All ifs, buts, maybees, speculation etc but as back of a fag packet maths go, the increase of 300K per million is very tasty indeed.

No chickens counted.

For me what's great about this is that it's all bonus money on the bank. We're no desperate to pay off debts or anything like that. It sounds very pretentious but there's possibly never been a time in our history when we've not needed such a windfall.

And have we been on the ball getting all these contracts signed up before anything happened?

Would be leas than the taxman's cut i suspect.

No idea if there is any truth in that side of things, if he turns up the next match dressed as a peacock it might add weight to the rumour.

I'd assume so as it'll be classed as transfer fees received. Shows the worth of the rumoured contract whereby he can earn more at Dale than he would elsewhere with no extra financial outlay by ourselves.

I know nowt about these sort of things but would we pay tax on the individual deal or on end of year profits? If the money was reinvested into the club would that ensure none is taken elsewhere?

If the sale does go through, without wanting to sound greedy, the icing on the cake would be to negotiate Saturday and then draw a plum away tie to one of the so called prem big boys and make another half a million in gate receipts.
Good days in deed for Dale fans and also for the directors who have constantly put their
hands in their pockets to get us to this point in our history.
They deserve alot of the plaudits as well as Keith and the playing staff.

I'm sure a clever accountant would do something of the sort.

We could set up a loan to bury at Wonga.com rates with gigg as collateral when they don't pay we can seize gigg and turn it into a pig farm.

West Ham! (or City away)

IF we get through, and its a big IF from me, certainly at the 1st attempt. I dont think we've ever won away at a non league ground under Hilly. I'd take a draw and replay back at Spotland to be honest. Obviously would be great if we could win first time of asking.

Just been reading that Bilic is an admirer of Defoe and Hogan....
He as watched Hogan and says that he is quick and a goal scorer who is young and talented....
I leave the chairman to do the deals to get players in said Bilic....

Here we all guessing about Hogans possible impending move to a bigger club for a huge fee with a percentage coming Dales way....

What about Hyde !
Do they get a cut aswell.........

Hogan wasn't contracted at Hyde so there's nothing heading there way unfortunately (for them).

Hopefully West Ham watch this - very impressive stuff. Cant wait to see him scoring in the Prem!

An interesting item, though often he falls over or misdirects a pass. Pity some of his Dale goals aren't included.

Horrible music too.

If true, then I reckon over time that's about a £2.75m windfall for the Dale.

Wow wow wow!

Better than a good cup run.

And as asked further up, I hope Hilly is rewarded for his vision and astuteness in spotting something in Hogan that others passed up on, including Oldham who turned him down refusing to pay him £250 per week I'm told, so he came to Dale and the rest is history.
